7/27/25 Brewers-Yankees Trade Paving Way To Another Deadline Deal. The Milwaukee Brewers seemingly have a surplus of starting pitching and it sounds like the club is going to at least consider trading another hurler away. Milwaukee already traded Aaron Civale this season but another hurler could be on the way out of town as well. USA Today Sports' Bob Nightengale reported on Sunday that the Brewers will start listening to offers for former All-Star Nestor Cortes. "The Milwaukee Brewers will start listening to offers for starter Nestor Cortes, who completed his last rehab start," Nightengale said.

7/20/25 Suddenly hot White Sox aim to continue streak in Tampa. The Chicago White Sox can do something Monday that they have not achieved in more than a year when they travel to play the Tampa Bay Rays. Chicago comes out of the All-Star break having recorded its first sweep of the season, taking three games on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates in dominating fashion. Capped by Sunday's 7-2 victory, the White Sox outscored their hosts 27-7 over the weekend to record the team's first road sweep in more than three years. Sunday's starting pitcher Aaron Civale said the four-day break last week benefited the team.

7/20/25 White Sox go for elusive series sweep in Pittsburgh. The Chicago White Sox are the only team in the majors yet to sweep a series this season. In an otherwise difficult season in terms of wins and losses, the White Sox have opened the second half strong, scoring 10 runs in each of their first two victories over Pittsburgh. This development puts the onus on recently acquired starters such as right-hander Aaron Civale (1-6, 5.30 ERA) to keep Chicago's rotation strong as the team strives positive results amid an ongoing rebuild.
