7/31/25 New York Yankees makes MLB history with insane comeback vs. Rays. The New York Yankees pulled off one of the most improbable victories in Major League Baseball history, rallying from behind in four consecutive innings to defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 5–4 in 11 thrilling frames. With this win, the Yankees became the first team in the modern era to erase deficits in the eighth, ninth, and tenth innings and still go on to win in the eleventh. It all started in the bottom of the eighth inning. Down by one run, the Yankees turned to Trent Grisham, who stepped up and launched a clutch home run to tie the game.

7/26/25 Yankees Facing Spencer Jones Decision After Triple-A Performance. The Yankees are in the middle of a mudslide that has continued after the All-Star Break. Trent Grisham, Dominguez, Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger make for a strong contingent of four outfielders, and that is far from their top position of need. No. 2 prospect Spencer Jones has been massively living up to his expectations for Triple-A Scranton, with Jones showing flashes of a younger version of Judge in both his power potential and physical build.

7/25/25 Yankees Floated in Massive Three-Team Trade Idea. If the New York Yankees wanted to get imaginative and really open up their possibilities ahead of the July 31 trade deadline, perhaps they could consider trading one of their starters from a position of strength in order to address a pressing need on the diamond. While predicting every contender's biggest deadline move, CBS Sports' Mike Axisa opined that the Yankees would send center fielder Trent Grisham to the Philadelphia Phillies as part of a three-team trade with the Minnesota Twins that would bring infielder Willi Castro to New York. "Rental Grisham for rental Castro makes no sense for Minnesota," he wrote.

7/24/25 Analyst Proposes Wild Yankees, Pirates Trade. Wild speculation runs rampant around the MLB trade deadline without fail every year, and the New York Yankees are typically at the center of it. This year's iteration of the Yankees has quite a few holes, and thus they are expected to be particularly aggressive in filling their needs over the next week. Center field isn't a spot that New York needs an upgrade at considering it's rostering Trent Grisham and Cody Bellinger, but that didn't stop an analyst from proposing an out-of-the-box trade that would land the club an impact player at the position. As noted by 93.7 The Fan's Andrew Fillipponi, the Pittsburgh-based radio station's MLB pundit Matt Clement tossed out a proposal that would send Oneil Cruz to the Yankees while Jasson Domínguez and Anthony Volpe would head to the Pirates.

7/20/25 Grisham's tiebreaking slam in 9th completes Yankees comeback against Braves. Trent Grisham hit a tiebreaking grand slam with two outs in the ninth inning and the New York Yankees rallied from five runs down to beat the Atlanta Braves 12-9 on Saturday night before a crowd of 42,530, the largest this season at Truist Park. Anthony Volpe homered twice and finished with four RBIs for the Yankees, including a tying shot in the eighth. Cody Bellinger went deep in the seventh to help New York stop a three-game slide. Braves closer Raisel Iglesias (4-6), who hadn't given up a run in 15 appearances, allowed a leadoff double to Paul Goldschmidt in the ninth.
