5/23/25 Royals Moving Breakout Pitcher To Bullpen 'Paying Huge Dividends'. The Kansas City Royals got off to a dreadful 8-14 start this season. The Royals made a few key decisions with their pitching staff prior to the 2025 season. One such decision was putting left-hander Daniel Lynch IV in the bullpen. Caleb Moody of FanSided recently gave the Royals praise for this decision.

5/22/25 Royals Writer Praises Star Reliever After Breakout Start. The Kansas City Royals have cooled off a bit after overcoming an 8-14 start to the season, but they are still 28-23 and sit in sole possession of the second American League Wild Card spot. The pitching staff has been the ultimate strength of the team, and though the offense has let them down for the most part, the pitching staff has kept them afloat in the AL Central, arguably the toughest division in Major League Baseball. The team put Daniel Lynch IV in their bullpen to start the season, and it appears to be paying off. Caleb Moody of FanSided noted how the Royals now have a swiss army knife in their bullpen thanks to Lynch.

5/21/25 SF Giants look to get out of left-handed rut on upcoming road trip. The Giants are up against a left-handed starter Wednesday in their get-away day game against the Kansas City Royals at Oracle Park. Fortunately it will only be for an inning or so as the Royals are expected to have a bullpen game with left-hander Daniel Lynch opening against the Giants' Logan Webb. The Giants have been anemic against lefty starters all season, most recently being shut down by Mitty and Stanford product Kris Bubic in the first game of the Kansas City series. In their series against the Athletics, lefty Jeffrey Springs retried 20 batters in a row after giving up leadoff homer to Heliot Ramos.

3/17/25 Royals Urged To Pry Top Prospect From Orioles For Daniel Lynch IV Trade Package. The Kansas City Royals may have lucked into an extra starting pitcher this spring. Daniel Lynch IV was an afterthought in most early Royals rotation projections. Lynch has a minor-league option remaining, so the Royals could send him to Triple-A if he's not going to earn a rotation spot. It's likely down to Lynch and Kris Bubic for the number-five starter role, and Bubic has played a bigger role for the Royals throughout his career when healthy.
