8/01/25 Pondering the Rays roster after the trade deadline. The 2025 trade deadline has passed and the Tampa Bay Rays were certainly one of the more active teams. After acquiring Bryan Baker from the Baltimore Orioles in early July, the Rays were involved in numerous discussions, especially after the team’s free fall in the standings. Then, the dam broke and the Rays made a flurry of deals.

7/30/25 Orioles veteran generating plenty of trade interest ahead of deadline. The Baltimore Orioles are certainly the biggest surprise sellers ahead of the MLB trade deadline this year. Thus far, the Orioles have traded three relief pitchers: Bryan Baker to the Tampa Bay Rays, Gregory Soto to the New York Mets, and Seranthony Dominguez to the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Baltimore Orioles are a team that many people are keeping a close eye on with MLB's trade deadline just two days away. Ahead of the 2025 MLB Draft, the Orioles traded right-handed pitcher Bryan Baker to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for the No. 37 pick; that selection was used on star prep outfielder Slater de Brun. Over the weekend, Baltimore traded left-handed reliever Gregory Soto to the New York Mets, in exchange for right-handed pitching prospects Wellington Aracena and Cameron Foster.

7/28/25 Orioles Have Two of the Best Left-Handed Hitters Coveted by Contenders. The Baltimore Orioles have held off for as long as they could, but it is only a matter of time until they start sending out more of their players ahead of the MLB trade deadline. Entering play on July 28, they are in last place of the American League East with a record of 47-58. The Orioles already got things started, dealing two of their relief pitchers in separate deals. Bryan Baker was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays ahead of the 2025 MLB draft in exchange for the No. 37 pick, which was used on prep star Slater de Brun out of Summit High School in Bend, Ore.

7/27/25 Breakout Orioles Outfielder Now Considered 'More Attractive' Than Cedric Mullins. Bryan Baker and Gregory Soto have already been shipped out of town by the Baltimore Orioles, and more moves are expected to come before July 31 since they have multiple impending free agents on the roster who could be impactful for contending teams around the league.
