8/01/25 Rays' Struggles Continue in Lackluster 5-0 Loss to Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers. July was a rough month for the Tampa Bay Rays. The calendar flipped to August on Friday, but nothing has changed for the struggling Rays. At home for a quick three-game homestand with the defending world-champion Los Angeles Dodgers, the Rays never had a chance Friday night at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. Starter Shane Baz gave up two first-inning runs — and five overall — and the Tampa Bay offense never threatened in a lackluster 5-0 loss.

7/31/25 Rays Right-Hander Stands Strong Despite Getting Loss. Shane Baz has had quite a journey while coming back from Tommy John surgery for the Tampa Bay Rays. On Sunday, though, his outing against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati should give Rays fans a lot of hope. In five innings of work, Baz allowed just two earned runs against the Reds.
