7/29/25 Rutschman’s clutch double lifts Orioles to 3-2 win over Blue Jays and doubleheader sweep. Adley Rutschman doubled home the tiebreaking run in the bottom of the eighth inning, and the Baltimore Orioles completed a doubleheader sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays, 3-2 on Tuesday night. With Gunnar Henderson on second and one out, Rutschman lifted a drive to right off Jeff Hoffman (6-4) that Nathan Lukes tried to catch against the big wall in right field at Camden Yards. Lukes reached for the ball and initially seemed unsure of where it ended up, only to find it down at his feet.

7/29/25 Improving Orioles brace for doubleheader vs. Jays. Maybe it's not too late to alter the narrative on the season for the Baltimore Orioles. Now another test comes with a day-night doubleheader against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday. Catcher Adley Rutschman came off the injury list and was among the batters to provide sparks as Baltimore belted four home runs in an 11-4 series-opening victory on Monday. Rutschman delivered three hits, including a pair of doubles, a much-coveted development after he had been out of the lineup for more than five weeks because of an oblique injury.

7/28/25 Orioles reinstate C Adley Rutschman and LHP Keegan Akin, but Félix Bautista won't return soon. The Baltimore Orioles reinstated catcher Adley Rutschman from the 10-day injured list Monday and fortified their depleted bullpen by bringing back lefty Keegan Akin from the IL. The return of Akin coincided with the news that closer Félix Bautista will endure an extended stay on the 15-day IL with a right shoulder injury that has kept him sidelined since July 24. “An MRI (determined) there was a lot of swelling in the shoulder,” interim manger Tony Mansolino said. Bautista underwent Tommy John surgery in October of 2023 before returning this season to reclaim his role as the team's closer.

7/28/25 Orioles Reinstate Adley Rutschman, Keegan Akin From Injured List. The Baltimore Orioles are starting to get healthy. After suffering a litany of injuries during the early part of the season and in the summer, the Orioles are expected to get many of their key players back for the stretch run. Adley Rutschman and Keegan Akin fall into that category, and in an announcement made by the team, both the star catcher and left-handed reliever have been reinstated from the injured list, while right-handed pitcher Yaramil Hiraldo was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk and catcher Jacob Stallings was designated for assignment as the corresponding moves.
