7/27/25 A playoff-caliber Reds rotation sets the tone. Looking at how the Cincinnati Reds have built this team, a lot of the biggest moves have been geared toward building a strong rotation. Nick Lodolo, Chase Burns, Hunter Greene and Rhett Lowder were first-round picks, and Andrew Abbott was a second-round pick. The Reds traded a former first-round pick in Jonathan India for Brady Singer.

7/24/25 Reds' Jake Fraley takes hot streak into series opener vs. Rays. Two clubs in nearly identical positions in the playoff chase and with identical records meet on Friday when the Tampa Bay Rays visit the Cincinnati Reds in the opener of a three-game series. The Reds snapped a three-game skid and salvaged a split of their six-game road trip out of the All-Star break with a 5-0 win over the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. Nick Lodolo tossed his first career shutout while Jake Fraley went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead the Cincinnati offense. Nursing a partially torn labrum in his right shoulder, Fraley has come out of the All-Star break by going 8-for-15 with three doubles and four RBIs.

With the win, the Reds are 2.5 games back of the third and final wild card spot in the National League. Nick Lodolo dominated on the mound for Terry Francona's team, throwing a complete-game shutout.
