Miami Marlins third baseman Connor Norby underwent surgery on his broken left wrist during the All-Star break and will be sidelined six to eight weeks. Norby had his hamate bone repaired during the procedure performed in Phoenix. Norby, 25, felt soreness in the wrist during Friday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. July 17 - Marlins third baseman Connor Norby will be sidelined for six to eight weeks following wrist surgery, the Miami Herald reported Thursday. Norby, who landed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with left wrist inflammation, had a procedure in Arizona on Wednesday to repair a broken left hamate bone, per the report. Norby, 25, is batting .241 with six homers, 26 RBIs and seven stolen bases in 72 games in his first full season with the Marlins. Drafted in the second round by Baltimore in 2021, he was dealt from the Orioles to Miami at the July 2024 trade deadline with outfielder Kyle Stowers in exchange for left-hander Trevor Rogers. May 25 - Connor Norby hit a three-run homer and the visiting Miami Marlins snapped the Los Angeles Angels' eight-game winning streak with a 6-2 victory on Saturday night. The Angels' Taylor Ward doubled in the ninth to secure his franchise-record 10th consecutive game with an extra-base hit. Ward has nine home runs and 27 RBIs in his last 18 games. The Marlins had lost three consecutive games. Ronny Enriquez (2-1) got the win with two-thirds of an inning of scoreless relief.
