7/30/25 | Phils' Taijuan Walker, fighting for starting role, faces White Sox. Eyeing their second straight road series victory, the Philadelphia Phillies will turn to a pitcher who senses he likely is a lame duck in the rotation. Taijuan Walker is set to get the call Wednesday in the decisive contest of the visiting Phillies' three-game series against the Chicago White Sox. With fellow righty Aaron Nola (ankle, rib) slated to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday, though, this could be it for Walker in the rotation for a time. "Aaron's coming back at some point, so I assume that I'll be the odd man out, which is fine," Walker said. Source: https://www.reuters.com/sports/baseball/phils-taij... |

7/09/25 | It Might Be Time to Sit John Kincade and Kevin Cooney Down for a Philadelphia Phillies Beer Summit. The Phillies lost 4-3 to the Giants Tuesday night on a walk-off, inside-the-park home run. It was a diabolical ending after a good outing from Taijuan Walker and four relief pitchers not named Jordan Romano. Naturally, there was consternation after the game with Rob Thomson's decision to go to Romano in the ninth inning. It's a 3-4 record for the Phils over their last seven games, who are tied with the Mets for first place in the NL East. Source: https://www.crossingbroad.com/news/phillies/it-mig... |
7/08/25 | Phillies Only +125 on the Money Line with Taijuan Walker Opposing Robbie Ray in San Francisco. It's a bit surprising to see the Phillies only at +125 on the money line for Tuesday's clash with the Giants. The pitching matchup of Taijuan Walker versus Robbie Ray suggests there should be even more of a price disparity. Ray's been pretty good for San Francisco this season with a 9-3 mark, a 2.68 ERA, and 117 strikeouts. If there's one reason for hope for the Phils, it's the fact that they're the only team to score more than three earned runs off Ray all season.
