Seahawks insider believes Mike Macdonald could make shocking OL change. In 2024, only the offensive front of the New England Patriots received a lower grade from Pro Football Focus than the Seattle Seahawks. Interesting enough, Ben Rolfe of Pro Football Sports Network ranked the offensive fronts in 2025 for all 32 clubs back in late April. While Zabel is expected to be the starter at left guard next to tackle Charles Cross, and Abraham Lucas (if healthy) should hold down the right tackle spot, there are uncertainties elsewhere.

While GM Monti Ossenfort has made significant investments in free agency, bringing in some notable players like Josh and Calais Campbell, the Cardinals have not been very active in the trade market, especially with regard to bringing in veteran stars. Arizona had been urged to trade for star CB Jaylen Ramsey by multiple outlets, but Ramsey was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Falcons Penix Hosts First Youth Camp, Gets Hometown Street Named After Him. It was a busy weekend for Atlanta Falcons second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr. , and one he'll likely remember for years to come. Penix Jr. cemented his status as a hometown hero when a street was officially named in his honor in Dade City, Florida, where he grew up. Later in the weekend, he followed up the honor by hosting his first free youth football camp, which drew more than 200 participants. During his high school days, Penix Jr. played at Tampa Bay Technical High School where he threw for 4,243 yards and 61 touchdowns throughout two seasons as the Titans' starting varsity quarterback.

Former Iowa Star Tight End Poised for Bounceback Season in Detroit. Former Iowa Hawkeye star tight end Sam LaPorta had a bit of a down year in his second season with the Detroit Lions. While a statline of 60 catches for 726 yards and seven touchdowns is hardly a bad season for a second-year tight end, his rookie campaign was a record-setting year at the position, which set a high bar. LaPorta is due for a third-year bounceback season, but it's not just because he's coming into this season looking for one. No, instead, Detroit Lions analyst John Vaccaro of Athlon Sports sees LaPorta's return to form having to do with new weaknesses that exist in the Detroit offense.

Eagles Game-Changer? Rookie Already Turning Heads. The Philadelphia Eagles are going to have a chance to make a deep run once again in 2025. The roster is simply too talented to not contend, unless injuries completely derail the season, which happened to some other teams in 2024 like the Dallas Cowboys. If the Eagles can stay relatively healthy, they should be able to make another run and at least have a chance to repeat. One thing that helps this argument is that the Eagles' front office has proven that it knows what it's doing in the NFL Draft.

Who is Charles 'Peanut' Tillman? Ex-Bears cornerback becomes an FBI agent. ML Football announced the 44-year-old's shocking career change via a social media post, which read, “Legendary Chicago #Bears cornerback Charles “Peanut” Tillman is now an FBI AGENT.” Starting as a second-round pick for the Bears in 2003, Tillman played as a cornerback for the team for twelve years up until 2015, when he made a brief one-year switch to the Carolina Panthers.

ESPN Reveals Arizona Cardinals' Biggest Surprise. It's not often where a Day 3 pick from the NFL Draft is able to come in and make an instant impact - though Arizona Cardinals rookie inside linebacker Cody Simon could be the exception. Simon, a fourth-round pick out of Ohio State, finds himself in position to potentially net playing time early in 2025 after the Cardinals lost starter Kyzir White to free agency. Arizona did sign Akeem Davis-Gaither in the offseason, and he should get first crack at the starting spot opposite of Mack Wilson, though Simon figures to play a role in that competition once training camp begins here in a few weeks.

With their second choice in Round 2, general manager John Schneider gave new starting quarterback Sam Darnold another weapon, who happens to be coming off his best collegiate season. The New York Giants were just coming off their first postseason appearance since 2016, one in which they won their first postseason game since 2011. Quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley were both up for new contracts, the Giants having decided not to exercise Jones's option year the prior spring. The plan was to get Barkley under contract before the 2023 season so that they would have the franchise tag available to use for Jones, a quarterback about whom they were still unsure despite his having had a strong season in 2022.

ESPN predicts Carolina Panthers finally pick a Clemson prospect in 2026 NFL draft. The Carolina Panthers are the only team in the NFL to have never drafted a player from Clemson University. Eagles' Saquon Barkley Jabs At Cowboys, Commanders. The Philadelphia Eagles are the reigning NFC East champs and will try to break a historic streak in 2025. There hasn't been a repeat winner in the division since the Eagles won four straight division titles from 2001 through 2004. Philadelphia is loaded heading into the 2025 season and it starts with the reigning AP National Football League Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley. The Eagles made the right move bringing Barkley to town and one thing that helps that point even further is his strong feelings on the other teams in the division.

Where Lions' roster stands heading into training camp. Question to answer: How will new coordinators affect production? For just the second time since Dan Campbell took over as head coach in 2021, he'll enter a season with a new coordinator. There's been a lot of consistency in those roles over the years with Aaron Glenn running the defense since 2021, Ben Johnson running the offense since 2022 and Dave Fipp coordinating special teams since 2021. Fipp is still in his role, but now Glenn and Johnson have moved on to head coaching roles.

Eagles 2025 Training Camp Position Preview: Quarterback. Jalen Hurts was marvelous in the 2024 playoffs, finishing with a 71.4 completion percentage, 108.6 passer rating, 10 total touchdowns against just one turnover, and an 8.0 yards per attempt on his way to Super Bowl LIX MVP honors. In the regular season, Hurts posted his highest career completion percentage (68.7) and passer rating (103.7). Hurts (6-1, 223 pounds) will turn just 27 in August.

A two-time Pro Bowler with the Purple Gang, the former undrafted free agent from Minnesota State has totaled 685 receptions for 8,311 yards and 64 touchdowns in 162 regular-season contests. Recently, Kacey Kasem of RotoBaller took a look at each team in the National Football Conference and came up with a breakout candidate or an undervalued sleepers when it came to fantasy football. When it came to Carolina, Kasem had the sure-handed pro on his mind. “Last season, Adam Thielen averaged 14 PPR points per game and was WR12 in total points over the final seven weeks,” explained Kasem.

Why one fantasy analyst is drafting Seahawks QB Sam Darnold 'whenever I can'. Most analysts seem to think that Sam Darnold can't possible replicate what he did last year with the Minnesota Vikings now that he's starting for the Seattle Seahawks. There's definitely a case that Darnold could struggle throwing behind one of the league's worst offensive lines, but the idea that Darnold will turn back into the pumpkin he was early in his career with the Jets is wildly overblown. One benefit of this misperception about Darnold and what he's capable of is that nobody is expecting him to make a big splash in fantasy football this year.

In 2024, the Carolina Panthers not only allowed the most total yards in the league, Dave Canales's team gave up an NFL-high 179.8 yards per game on the ground. General manager Dan Morgan was very aggressive this offseason when it came to addressing defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero's front seven. Getting defensive tackle Derrick Brown back this season after missing all but one game in '24 certainly helps. How NY Giants Can Get More from WR Wan'Dale Robinson. New York Giants receiver Wan'Dale Robinson was one busy fella last year. Robinson, the team's second-round draft pick in 2022 out of Kentucky, logged career highs in targets (140), receptions (93), receiving yards (699), and touchdowns (3), and yet his yards per reception (7.5) was among the lowest in the league. What's interesting about Robisnon's production is that 78.5% of his snaps came from the slot, which one would think would make it harder for a quarterback to find him among all the activity the middle of the field. This year, however, it comes as no surprise that Robinson hopes to get more snaps on the outside.

Za'Darius Smith could ditch Lions reunion for potential AFC playoff team. The Detroit Lions need to bolster their pass rush before the 2025 campaign, and a reunion with Za'Darius Smith makes perfect sense. Smith was released by the Lions in March, but is still a free agent and bringing him back would be a logical move, as he is still a capable pass rusher who has experience playing in Detroit's defense and should be cheap to sign. After 14 years with Pete Carroll at the helm, the Seattle Seahawks' switch to Mike Macdonald as their new head coach last year came as a bit of a culture shock. One of the major changes came at running back, where Carroll had historically rostered four players for the regular season. When the initial 53-man roster came out, Macdonald only had three: starter Ken Walker, backup Zach Charbonnet and Kenny McIntosh. Dallas Cowboys lead NFL in major stat that rubs salt in fan base's wounds. Yes, it is still an eternity before the Dallas Cowboys take the field for their primetime matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 of the regular season. NFL on CBS recently shared a graphic showing the highest winning percentages in the league, along with the Lombardi trophies won by every franchise that made the list. PFF unimpressed by Carolina Panthers' remodeled defensive line in NFL rankings. After Derrick Brown went down for the year after just one game, the Carolina Panthers' defensive line devolved into the worst unit in the NFL. Whichever team had the second-worst interior defensive line was also pretty far ahead of where Carolina wound up landing. While they just missed out on signing the league's top free agent DL in Milton Williams, they were able to land two solid upgrades (Turk Wharton and Bobby Brown II) to pair with Derrick Brown up front as he returns for the 2025 season.

The San Francisco 49ers managed to sign Brock Purdy to a five-year, $265 million contract extension this offseason, but that isn't the only quarterback move they have made as of late. The Niners also scooped up Mac Jones in free agency to be Purdy's backup, although he recently joked that he had some beef to settle with head coach Kyle Shanahan before he joined the team. San Francisco passed on Jones in the 2021 NFL Draft, opting to select Trey Lance, despite rumors continually linking them to the former Alabama Crimson Tide star ahead of the draft.

Dallas Cowboys All-Pro offensive lineman predicted to earn at least $76 million. Despite a few misses, the Dallas Cowboys have done excellent work in the NFL draft in recent years. Not only did they extend quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in 2024, but they also signed defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa to a four-year, $80 million contract this offseason. From there, they've turned their attention to edge rusher Micah Parsons, who should make roughly $40 million per year. The hits will only continue to come for Jerry Jones and his checkbook with cornerback DaRon Bland set for free agency this offseason.

Ahmed Hassanein Rookie Season Stat Prediction. Much to the surprise of a variety of fans and pundits, the Detroit Lions waited until the sixth round to select an EDGE defender in this past April's NFL Draft: Boise State's Ahmed Hassanein. Hassanein, the No. 196 overall pick in the 2025 draft, is the first ever player of Egyptian descent drafted by an NFL franchise. In his final season with the Broncos, he played an integral role in the school's run to the College Football Playoff, amassing 48 total tackles, including 15.5 for loss, and 9.5 sacks. All of this led to Hassanein earning an 81.4 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, including an 80.3 PFF run-defense mark and a 76.9 pass-rush grade.

New Orleans went out and drafted Kelvin Banks Jr. in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and with better health, things could change quickly in town. Xavier Legette admits drop that cost Panthers win vs. Eagles will 'hurt for life'. There were a lot of down moments for Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers last season. Perhaps the greatest letdown came early in December when they had a chance to pull off an improbable upset over the Philadelphia Eagles, who went on to win the Super Bowl. The most frustrating element in the loss was that a supremely-gritty performance from Young was wasted when then-rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette dropped what should have been a touchdown catch to cap off a remarkable game-winning drive. If Legette is the competitor the Panthers thought they were gettin when they traded up to draft him, he'll use that moment as motivation for the rest of his career.

Seahawks legend Pete Carroll was not Raiders first choice for new head coach. Pete Carroll's breakup with the Seattle Seahawks in January of 2024 was messy. According to Mike Silver of The Athletic, the Raiders' first choice for their head coaching job was then-Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen, which would make sense considering they hired Buccaneers executive John Spytek to be their new general manager.

The quarterback position is one of the best to maintain it outside of one of the three main special teams positions of kicker, punter, and long snapper. Buccaneers veteran is still proving age is just a number. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are steamrolling towards training camp, when we will finally get a glimpse into what the 2025 squad will look like once pads come on. Many eyes will be on what the defense looks like with the struggles they faced last season, but the offense, as always, will also command much attention, especially with the addition of newcomer Emeka Egbuka. Tampa Bay's offense has been one of the best in the league over the past couple of seasons. The passing game has exploded with Baker Mayfield slinging the ball, and the running game has elevated from one of the worst in the league to one of the best with the emergence of Bucky Irving beside Rachaad White.
