Did Raiders GM hint at Ashton Jeanty NFL Draft selection?. The Las Vegas Raiders made some big changes this offseason as the team hopes to return to the playoffs after a three-year absence. The Raiders figure to be a run-first team under new head coach Pete Carroll, which has prompted many analysts to assume the team would target Boise State standout Ashton Jeanty with the sixth overall pick in the draft. “I mean we just saw Saquon Barkley just change the Eagles in one year… There's certain ways to build a team, and I don't know where we got to a place where we don't feel like running backs are valued,” Spytek said when discussing selecting rushers early in the draft, per Ryan McFadden of ESPN.

Panthers rumors: 2 targets for a possible trade back in 2025 NFL Draft. After missing out on their 2024 first-round pick, the Carolina Panthers are back in the top 10 of the 2025 NFL Draft. If the Panthers trade back, they would likely do so to acquire more defensive line and wide receiver assets, according to ESPN's Matt Miller. Carolina is already on par with the rest of the league with nine picks in the draft, but six of them will be on Day Three. If a trade occurs, Miller sees the team acquiring more Day Two selections.

Top Prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft: Running Back Edition. The 2025 NFL Draft is just around the corner, ushering in the last wave of mock drafts and predictions for all 32 clubs. The Buccaneers own the 19th overall pick in the first and the 53rd overall pick in the second. While the Buccaneers do not have a glaring need at the running back spot with a loaded room including Bucky Irving, Rachaad White and Sean Tucker and Tampa Bay will likely not be taking a running back until the later rounds (if at all), it is always fun for football junkies to dive into an evaluation of the top prospects.

Rarely mentioned aspect of kick return rule could benfefit Bears. Chicago Bears special teams coordinator Richard Hightower is not one of those because he has been at he creation point all along with the NFL's new kickoff rule. Hightower pointed out a change in the NFL kick return rule besides the positioning for touchbacks and it's something Devin Duvernay could benefit from eventually. While touchbacks will now be put at the 35-yard line to incentivize more kick returns, positioning will be different.

Raiders have obvious (and genius) move in NFL Draft that nobody is talking about. The Las Vegas Raiders have had very little success over the last two decades. A combination of poor draft choices, subpar quarterback play and wasted money in free agency have plagued the franchise, but owner Mark Davis decided to make a massive change this offseason. After bringing in legendary quarterback Tom Brady as a minority owner last October, the organization cleaned house, bringing in Pete Carroll and John Spytek as the team's new head coach and general manager.

Lions in unfamiliar territory, picking late in NFL draft and trying to keep talented roster intact. The Detroit Lions are in unfamiliar territory. Detroit has the No. 28 pick overall in the NFL draft, its latest slot in a decade. The Lions also have a lot of talent for a change and that's not cheap to keep. Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Penei Sewell, David Montgomery, Alim McNeill and Derrick Barnes are all signed through at least 2027.

Chiefs buzz building around big-time prospect. The Kansas City Chiefs are still the best team in the AFC. Kansas City lost the Super Bowl this past February against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it did win the two previous big games. The Chiefs went 15-2 this past season despite all of the injuries and should be able to be equally as good in 2025. While this is the case, the Chiefs could use more reinforcements for the offensive line.

PFN lists Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker as potential trade candidate. The Seattle Seahawks have some shiny new pieces on offense, but their offensive line has arguably gotten worse since the season ended. The ground game was unimpressive as a whole in 2024, and the offensive line clearly played a role in that. Perhaps with a few additions to the offensive line in the 2025 NFL draft, the Seahawks can get their running game back on track. Lead back Kenneth Walker III had his worst season as a pro, appearing in just 11 games and rushing for a career-low 573 yards on 3.7 yards per carry.

Entering 2017, the Saints were in a three-year playoff drought when a fruitful draft that included cornerback Marshon Lattimore, right tackle Ryan Ramczyk and running back Alvin Kamara produced a return to the postseason that same year. The quarterback position has been at least somewhat in flux since Drew Brees hung up his cleats after the 2020 season. In 2021, the Saints began the season with Jameis Winston -- who was great -- but he got injured so Taysom Hill, Trevor Siemian, and Ian Book all got chances. The 2022 season featured Andy Dalton and Winston.

The New York Giants enter the 2025 NFL Draft coming off a 3-14 season that exposed glaring weaknesses on both sides of the ball and left the franchise in desperate need of a long-term plan. With multiple holes across the roster—but also a few promising young pieces in place—Big Blue must prioritize value and future upside as they look to rebuild through this year's draft. Offensively, they were among the league's worst—ranking third-to-last in total yards per game (294.8), fifth-worst in passing (189.9) despite the addition of rookie standout Malik Nabers, and in the bottom third in rushing (104.9).
