5/27/25 Cowboys starter had worst season in history last year, did they improve at his position?. The NFC East has a storied history of many things, including talent at the tight end position; there's been numerous stars at the position for each of the four teams. New York can boast of Mark Bavaro and Jeremy Shockey, Dallas of Jason Witten and Jay Novacek. For the Washington franchise names such as Chris Cooley and Jerry Smith evoke memories for their fans, while Philadelphia's recent run may be their best stretch in team history.

4/17/25 Tyler Warren scouting report draws NFL draft comparison to Giants legend. The New York Giants may not be heavily involved in the tight end position during the 2025 NFL Draft, but one team will walk away from the weekend with a prospect who draws comparisons to a legendary name. 5/16/24 How first-round pick Brock Bowers fits into Raiders offense. Antonio Pierce saw plenty of different matchups and alignments as an NFL linebacker from 2001 through 2009. Pierce, who spent the first four seasons of his career with Washington before winning a Super Bowl and being named to a Pro Bowl with the New York Giants, already had to deal with the likes of Jeremy Shockey, Jason Witten and Chris Cooley within his own division.

2/04/22 Georgia artist goes big for Pro Bowl cleats of Atlanta Falcons rookie Kyle Pitts. Pitts' rookie season was one of the best ever at his position -- even if it sometimes doesn't feel like it because he scored one touchdown. But he's the first rookie tight end in 60 years to eclipse 1,000 yards (1,026), and his 68 receptions are third all-time behind Keith Jackson and Jeremy Shockey. He's the first rookie tight end since Shockey to make the Pro Bowl -- and that was in 2002.

5/28/21 Film study: New Orleans Saints will have to get creative at tight end position in 2021. Of some of the best offenses the New Orleans Saints have fielded in the Sean Payton era (the Payton-Drew Brees era is, sadly, over), one thing has been constant: A tight end who stretch the defense. This has been seen in different ways. Jeremy Shockey grinding underneath while blocking.
