4/15/25 | Trade proposal lands Raiders an absolute non-solution to fix rushing attack. The Las Vegas Raiders had the NFL's worst rushing attack by a noticeable margin last season (79.8 yards per game). Head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will surely fix that immediately, however it ultimately looks in 2025. Signing Raheem Mostert is not enough. It's easy to tie Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty to Raiders with the sixth overall pick in the draft. Source: https://justblogbaby.com/trade-proposal-lands-raid... |
4/10/25 | NFL trade proposal pairs Tyreek Hill with $136 million superstar wide receiver. As McDaniel and general manager Chris Grier try to prepare for the upcoming season, they'll need to find a way to break through as contenders in the conference and sustain success once they do so. With Miami already losing key pieces like safety Jevon Holland, offensive tackle Terron Armstead and running back Raheem Mostert, the team may look to take a step back in 2025 to retool for the future. 4/03/25 | Raiders reportedly made unsurprising effort to trade for a star running back. As the Las Vegas Raiders look to fix the league's worst rushing attack from last season, signing Raheem Mostert is not enough. Which is why it's so easy to tie them to Ashton Jeanty with the sixth overall pick in the draft, to the point it's feeling possible they pass on him and wait to draft a running back from a deep class at the position. It's also fair to say the Raiders are in a shade of win-now mode with Pete Carroll as head coach. The Raiders should broadly be leaving no stones unturned this offseason in an effort to add talent, up to and including more trades to add veterans if it makes sense. 4/03/25 | Raiders Should Consider Late-Round RB. After signing veteran running back Raheem Mostert, the franchise will look to improve from where the franchise ranked last season among the NFL in the running game. Lucky for the Raiders, the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft is filled with talented running back options to decide from. Source: https://www.si.com/nfl/raiders/las-vegas-raheim-sa... |
4/02/25 | Raiders predicted to improve running backs room with $8 million breakout star. Fresh off a season in which the Las Vegas Raiders finished with the worst rushing attack in the NFL, the team needs to bolster the position. The Raiders did sign Raheem Mostert, but he's hardly an adequate solution for the team's starting job. Las Vegas also has Zamir White, Dylan Laube and Sincere McCormick, but White was bad last season and the other two are unproven. While many expect the Raiders to address the position in the 2025 NFL Draft, Las Vegas might want to add another veteran to the room just in case. 3/31/25 | NFL Mock Draft: Raiders Bolster Offensive Line. The Las Vegas Raiders are slated to continue improving their team by drafting a playmaker with the sixth overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft. With them being so high in the draft, they have many players to choose from. The player they are most linked to before the NFL draft is Ashton Jeanty, which makes the most sense as he's most likely not getting picked in the top five, and he'd be the next-best prospect available. Jeanty fits the bill as a playmaker and would revolutionize their ground game alongside free agent acquisition veteran running back Raheem Mostert, forming a solid running back duo that will be leagues better than last year's run game. 3/31/25 | What is Mostert's Ceiling With the Raiders?. The Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran running back Raheem Mostert to a one-year deal out of free agency. This move is done in hopes of revamping their ground game and pushing them closer to a playoff spot next season. What are realistic expectations for the soon-to-be 33-year-old running back? The best year of his career wasn't too long ago, as 2023 was a perfect storm of opportunity and health for Mostert. Source: https://www.si.com/nfl/raiders/raheem-mostert-las-... |
3/30/25 | PODCAST: Las Vegas Raiders Insider on the Dynamics of the NFL Draft. LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Raiders can do just about anything with their No. 6 pick. In this episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast, our Hondo Carpenter and the Spun's Matt Hladik dive into the complexities of the Raiders' upcoming draft decisions. You can watch that entire podcast below: Recently, new Raiders RB Raheem Mostert spoke at the team's headquarters. Below is a partial transcript of that press conference. 3/28/25 | NFL Mock Draft: Raiders Make Obvious Choice with RB. The Las Vegas Raiders and Ashton Jeanty have been linked across many mock drafts; he is the most mocked player to them in the draft. At this point, it almost feels like a guarantee that he'll be rocking the Silver and Black next season for his NFL debut. Raheem Mostert's signing isn't going to be enough to revamp their rushing attack completely. It just feels like such an easy choice to make, the only way I don't see it happening is if Shedeur Sanders falls out of the top five, in which case it would make sense to target Sanders as their potential franchise quarterback. 3/27/25 | Pete Carroll's Love for Power Backs Could Give Draft Clues. The Las Vegas Raiders have signed a legitimate starting-caliber player at nearly every position of need they had when they entered the offseason and immediately after losing several starters in free agency. Las Vegas will be a relative unknown heading into next season, as they have new faces at several critical positions. Although they signed veteran running back Raheem Mostert, the Raiders' running backs still need help. The Raiders have had arguably the worst ground game in the entire National Football League over the past two seasons, regardless of which back they used. 3/23/25 | Proposed trade has Raiders reuniting the wrong running back with Pete Carroll. The Las Vegas had the worst rushing attack in the NFL last season (79.8 yards per game) by a noticeable margin. History says head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will be able to fix that with a reshuffling of the top of the running back depth chart, but the only move made thus far is the signing of soon-to-be 33-year old Raheem Mostert. Look at a good portion of mock drafts right now, and you'll see the Raiders taking Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty at No. 6 overall. 3/21/25 | Mostert's Longevity is a Learning Lesson for Raiders RBs. The Las Vegas Raiders have strategically addressed many positions that need the most help, even though most of their new additions are not household names. Las Vegas added Raheem Mostert in a quiet but potentially productive offseason move. Last season, the Raiders started four different running backs; none totaled over 430 yards. Mostert has appeared in at least 13 games in the past three seasons. Source: https://www.si.com/nfl/raiders/raheem-mostert-long... |
3/19/25 | Raheem Mostert Already Connected with Geno Smith. The Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran running back Raheem Mostert to help bolster a young running backs room that could be getting younger in the upcoming NFL Draft. The Raiders have made a handful of big moves this offseason, hoping to reset under new head coach Pete Carroll and inject a winning culture into a franchise that needs it desperately. Mostert allows the Raiders to take a deep look into the upcoming running backs class as well as assure the Silver and Black they will have a competent ball carrier come September. 3/17/25 | Raiders' Raheem Mostert Looking for 2023 Results in 2025. The Las Vegas Raiders made sure to add a piece in their ground game givent he lack of success the franchise saw last season. The Raiders and veteran running back Raheem Mostert reached a one year deal worth $2.1 million. Not only does the move give reassurance to the offense, but Mostert knows a thing or two on how to be a successful running back. Mostert has been in the National Football League since he debuted in 2015 with the Miami Dolphins. Source: https://www.si.com/nfl/raiders/news/raheem-mostert... |
3/13/25 | Reports: Raiders signing veteran RB Raheem Mostert. The Las Vegas Raiders are signing veteran running back Raheem Mostert to a one-year, $1.2 million contract, according to multiple reports on Thursday. The free agent is reunited with the Raiders' new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, who was the head coach in San Francisco in 2016 when Mostert played for the 49ers. Kelly also was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles when Mostert was briefly on the practice squad in 2015. The Miami Dolphins released Mostert, who turns 33 in April, in February and saved $2.9 million in salary cap space. Mostert joined Miami in 2022 and enjoyed his finest season in 2023, rushing for 1,012 yards and leading the NFL with 21 touchdowns from scrimmage. 3/11/25 | Mostert reveals he has discussed possible reunion with 49ers. The 49ers might have interest in reuniting with a familiar face this offseason. As San Francisco continues to part with key players on both sides of the ball, it could turn to one former player for veteran depth. Former 49ers running back Raheem Mostert joined NFL Network's "Free Agency Frenzy" on Tuesday and revealed that San Francisco has reached out this offseason about a possible reunion. "I do got some juice left, obviously," Mostert said. Source: https://www.nbcsportsbayarea.com/nfl/san-francisco... |
2/24/25 | Chris Perkins: Youth movement in 2025 is Dolphins' best hope for final Super Bowl run in 2026. The Dolphins need a youth movement. General manager Chris Grier and coach Mike McDaniel took a step toward the fountain of youth with their Valentine's Day releases of running back Raheem Mostert (32), cornerback Kendall Fuller (30) and tight end Durham Smythe (turns 30 in August). The “let's make a Super Bowl run right now” attitude must take a one-year hiatus. Source: https://www.orlandosentinel.com/2025/02/24/chris-p... |
