12/20/24	Brewers Agree To Minor-League Deal With LHP Bruce Zimmermann. MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers have added another pitcher to their rotation as the club looks to add extra depth to their roster heading into the new year. Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports that left-hander Bruce Zimmermann has reached a minor league agreement with the Brewers and will be a non-roster invitee to big league camp this spring. The 29-year-old Zimmermann has appeared in four seasons pitching for the Baltimore Orioles from 2020 to 2023 for 158 1/3 innings, primarily out of the rotation, and recorded a 5.57 ERA during that time. 8/21/24	Top Red Sox prospect's first Triple-A HR goes 415 feet (108.1 mph off bat). Roman Anthony belted his first Triple-A homer in Worcester 's 8-5 road win against Norfolk on Tuesday. Anthony, who Baseball America ranks No. 18 on its Top 100 list , went 4-for-5 with a homer, double, three RBIs and four runs out of the leadoff spot. The 20-year-old center fielder's home run traveled 415 feet and left his bat at 108.1 mph. It was a left-vs.-left matchup. The left-handed hitter took an 81.3 mph slider from Norfolk southpaw Bruce Zimmermann and sent it to right field. Anthony will face more pitchers with major league experience in Triple A.
