Green Bay Packers rookie receiver Matthew Golden has changed his number once again, and now he'll become the first player in team history to wear a unique, newly available number.Golden, who first picked No. 81 before switching to No. 22, has changed again ahead of the start of the regular season, picking No. 0 as his new number. The number 0 was made available by an NFL rule change in 2023. Golden wore No. 2 in high school and at both Houston and Texas, but the number is currently worn by quarterback Malik Willis. 8/25/25	Packers cuts loom after beating Seattle Seahawks on Saturday. (LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers' defense was dominant in the team's final preseason game. Defenders forced three fumbles and sacked the Seattle quarterback five times in a 20-7 victory. The Seahawks were playing without their starters while Green Bay used regulars for most of the first period. Backup quarterback Malik Willis capped a 96-yard drive on 14 plays by hitting Romeo Doubs in the end zone for a first-period score. Taylor Elgsma connected with Will Sheppard on a short scoring pass in the second. Packers coach Matt LaFleur had a lot of questions fired at him after the game. The Packers were hurt by turnovers, penalties and dropped passes. Two of the Packers' turnovers led to points for the Jets. Back-up quarterback Malik Willis fumbled while being sacked in his own end zone. Jay Tuefele of the Jets recovered the ball for a touchdown.
