After suffering injuries to both hands in the last couple of weeks, Alvarez was in the lineup for Triple-A Syracuse again on Sunday. Against Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Alvarez went 1 for 5 and caught all nine innings; his sole hit: A 109.2 mph single to third base.
