7/02/25 Packers' most fierce positional battle to watch at 2025 training camp. From the Green Bay Packers' point of view , they're better off without Jaire Alexander. And they probably don't lose much sleep that Rasul Douglas hasn't re-signed with the team. However, moving forward, here is the Packers' most fierce positional battle to watch during the 2025 training camp. It shouldn't be a surprise what position holds this distinction, and it's on the offensive side of the football. The Packers are loaded, maybe overloaded, at the wide receiver position. And it appears all starting positions are up for grabs, at least from an order standpoint. Jayden Reed should hold one of those spots along with Matthew Golden. But the rest is a battle. 5/28/25 Reed: Meeting with agent, Pack 'misinterpreted'. Rob Demovsky is an NFL reporter at ESPN and covers the Green Bay Packers. GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Jayden Reed wanted one thing understood: Yes, he knew his agent had planned to meet with the Green Bay Packers to discuss his standing, but it wasn't because he was worried about the pecking order within the receiver group even after they drafted one in the first round for the first time in 23 years. Shortly after the Packers picked Matthew Golden at No. 22 overall (and another receiver, Savion Williams, in the third round), a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Reed's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, reached out to the Packers to clarify the wide receiver's status and that the team said the picks will not affect Reed's status as its top receiver.

5/13/25 Packers Could Have Abundance of Weapons on Offense. At this point last year, the Green Bay Packers thought their offense had unlimited potential because of their deep and diverse group of skill-position players. Led by Jayden Reed, who was coming off a standout rookie season, the Packers had four receivers they believed could be a No. 1 on any given Sunday, giving them the ability to spread the field and create easy completions. With Luke Musgrave healthy following a lacerated kidney to join Tucker Kraft, the Packers could line up with two tight ends and put defenses in a run-pass pickle. With the additions of Josh Jacobs in free agency and MarShawn Lloyd with a third-round pick, the Packers had a potential thunder-and-lightning backfield.

The Green Bay Packers seemed to confirm with their approach in the NFL Draft that they were not happy with their wide receiver group last season, which led to some questions about how they view Jayden Reed. Those have apparently been answered.

4/02/25 Buccaneers urged to make important trade with Packers. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are picking at No. 19 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, but that doesn't mean they will stay there. ESPN writer Bill Barnwell suggests a trade that would allow the Bucs to move down four spots, while moving up from Round 4 to Round 3 and add a sixth-round selection. 3/07/25 Packers may be crazy enough to match colossal asking price in blockbuster WR trade. The Green Bay Packers have a very impressive group of young wide receivers, but the problem is that they do not have a No. 1. Jayden Reed is very good, but he is probably nothing more than a high-end No. 2, and none of Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson or Dontayvion Wicks fit the criteria for a top receiver.

2/07/25 Packers free agent pitch adds Bengals projected $101 million star playmaker. The Green Bay Packers have a solid roster and are coming off a playoff appearance in 2024. Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Dontayvion Wicks have all shown flashes, but none can be considered a true No. 1 option. Reed led all Packers pass-catchers in 2024 with 55 catches for 857 yards. Fortunately for the Packers, there's at least one star receiver set to enter free agency in 2025.

1/25/25 Former Michigan State Star Needs Help With Packers. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was widely viewed as a potential breakout candidate heading into the 2024 NFL season, and based on the way he played during his rookie year, you could see why. Reed caught 64 passes for 793 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023, establishing himself as one of the top up and coming receivers in football. The former Michigan State star was a bit of a disappointment in 2024, as he hauled in 55 receptions for 857 yards and six scores. It may come down to the fact that Reed is simply not a No. 1 receiver, and you know what?

1/17/25 49ers $71 million former Pro Bowler designated as 'trade target' for Packers. The Green Bay Packers have a long list of receivers, but it's hard to say who, if anyone, is the top dog. Between Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and Dontayvion Wicks, the Packers have a lot of interesting young talent, but no 1,000-yard sure thing. Would a trade make sense this winter or spring for the Packers to bring a jolt of star power to their young receiving core? Recently, FanSided's Jovan Alford discussed the possibility of the Packers trading for San Francisco 49ers wideout Deebo Samuel, who, along with the Seattle Seahawks' D.K. Metcalf, was under consideration for the Packers in the second round of the 2019 draft.

1/13/25 Jayden Reed not seriously hurt in Wild Card Round.
Jayden Reed says he won’t need surgery on his shoulder. “Thank God for that.” (Packers.com - Wes Hodkiewicz fun)

FF Today's Take: Reed figures to be a polarizing player in upcoming fantasy drafts. His star quickly ascended after going 64-793-8 as a rookie, but his usage dipped in a big way over the second half of this season as Green Bay became more of a run-heavy team. The primary reason why he could be a polarizing figure is because Christian Watson's knee injury will likely sideline him for most of the 2025 season, which should allow Reed more opportunities. Watson's absence alone may be enough to get Reed back into the high-end WR3 conversation.

1/07/25 Is Former Michigan State Star in Unfair Situation?. Former Michigan State star and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed is facing some pretty stiff criticism for his rather lackluster performance during the second half of the NFL season and for his disappearing act in multiple big games down the stretch. Reed totaled just three catches in the two losses, most recently logging two grabs for 48 yards in a 24-22 loss to the Chicago Bears. As a matter of fact, over the last five contests of 2024, the former Michigan State Spartans star accumulated just 11 receptions, which is not what you would expect from a No. 1 receiver. On the year overall, Reed caught 55 passes for 857 yards and six touchdowns.
