6/30/25 Three Top Tigers Prospects Named to AL 2025 All-Star Futures Game Roster. The MLB's 2025 All-Star Futures Game rosters were announced on Monday morning, and they included some great news for the Detroit Tigers. The All-Star Futures Game is meant to highlight the best of the best when it comes to minor leaguers and prospects, something that the Tigers have no shortage of. There were three top Detroit prospects named to the AL roster, all of which being position players. Outfielder Max Clark, infielder Kevin McGonigle and catcher Josue Briceno were the ones to receive nods this time around.

6/25/25 Tigers Prospect Vaults to No. 1 After Breakout Campaign. The Detroit Tigers have one of the top team's in baseball right now and a very fun group of prospects also waiting for their turn. CBS Sports' R.J. Anderson recently released an updated ranking of the top prospects in baseball and there was some interesting movement for the Tigers youngsters. Outfielder Max Clark moved up one spot to the No. 10 overall spot. It is clear that those are the two best prospects in the farm system right now with guys like Bryce Rainer and Josue Briceno also looking promising.

6/22/25 Henning: Tigers prospect Max Clark's numbers, promotion worth deeper discussion in June. The news today is Clark, in 57 games for the high-A Whitecaps, is batting an unremarkable .257. More reassuring for the Tigers is Clark's elite .412 on-base percentage. It speaks to what more detailed metrics tell the Tigers development heads: Clark knows the strike zone and what pitches to attack. Clark is two years out of high school.

6/15/25 Around the Tigers' farm: Prize prospect Clark has cooled but overall status unchanged. One can fairly ask if Max Clark's inevitable move to Double A Erie has been softened or delayed by a relatively tepid past month at high-A West Michigan. In the last four weeks, Clark, 20, and one of the Tigers' top-three farm talents, has batted .206. Clark still has more walks (23) than strikeouts (18) during those past 19 games. The Tigers aren't worried and appeared this weekend – after West Michigan had wrapped up a first-half division title with the Midwest League's best record – to be on the verge of bidding farewell to Clark, as well as to shortstop Kevin McGonigle, as they prepare two blue-chip talents for new adventures at Double A Erie.

6/15/25 Could Tigers Do Unthinkable Move by Promoting Star Prospect This Season?. The Detroit Tigers have the best farm system in Major League Baseball, but one of their top prospects is proving to be even better than he may be seen as right now. As the season has started to really get underway, it has become clear the Tigers have something very special brewing in High-A West Michigan. The lineup is loaded with guys like Max Clark, Kevin McGonigle and Josue Briceño, but it's McGonigle who is making the biggest statement right now.

6/11/25 Detroit Tigers Top Prospect Generating Serious Buzz From Baseball America. Baseball America has listed Detroit Tigers top prospect as one of the top rising prospects in the game this season. Briceño has long faced questions about whether he'll stick behind the plate. Few are questioning his potent bat, which has been red hot dating back to the 2024 Arizona Fall League. Currently playing at High-A West Michigan, Briceno is part of one of the best minor league rosters in the game, as he pairs with Max Clark and Bryce Rainer, though Rainer is now out for the season with injury.

6/01/25 Henning: Double-A Erie draws closer for three hot-shot Tigers prospects. Everyone within the Tigers sphere, that is. Max Clark, Kevin McGonigle, and Josue Bricen~o will — perhaps soon — be on their way to Double-A Erie after putting together sterling springs at high Single-A West Michigan. Bricen~o in Thursday night's game at Dayton slammed three home runs and a 400-foot double in four at-bats that also saw him steal home. Heading into Sunday's game at Dayton, Bricen~o was batting: .268/.383/.622/1.005.

5/23/25 Tigers Top Prospect Mashes Grand Slam, Continues Dazzling Minor League Season. The Detroit Tigers have the best farm system in Major League Baseball, and with some graduations there is now a new face of the future for the organization. 2023 No. 3 overall selection in the MLB draft Max Clark is quickly becoming a household name across the sport despite being just 20 years old and not playing a game above the High-A level. Clark spent last season for the most part with Low-A Lakeland and by year's end was promoted to High-A West Michigan where he put up solid but pedestrian numbers over 34 games to close his first year as a professional. In 2025, he started his season at West Michigan and looks like he has already taken the next step in his development, absolutely tearing the cover off the ball as of late.

5/23/25 Detroit Tigers' Top Prospect HIs Mammoth Grand Slam on Thursday Night, Continues to Impress. Max Clark, the No. 7 overall prospect in baseball, continues to excel for the High-A West Michigan Whitecaps, hitting a big-time grand slam on Thursday night. The 20-year-old was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 draft out of the Indiana high school ranks. With numbers like these, he is cruising for a Double-A promotion by the end of the season. Just entering his 20s, Clark has already added strength from his amateur days, and if he adds a little more loft as part of that trajectory, there's the potential for at least average power.

5/11/25 How long before Tigers prize Max Clark sets sail for Erie?. Predicting when Max Clark gets his orders for Double A Erie and his next stage of Tigers lineup preparation is natural even six weeks into Single A West Michigan's spring. A best guess on when Clark heads for Erie is sometime in July as the midseason breaks arrive for MLB and minor-league teams. Clark got his West Michigan promotion last July and figures to climb another rung 12 months later thanks to numbers he brought into Sunday's game against Lansing at LMCU Ballpark. Clark, who it should be remembered does not turn 21 until December, was batting .317 for the Whitecaps.

1/09/25 MLB Executives Vote Tampa Bay Rays' Chandler Simpson as Fastest Prospect in Baseball. Thanks in large part to his record-breaking 2023 and 2024 campaigns, Tampa Bay Rays prospect Chandler Simpson has earned some high praise heading into 2025. MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo recently conducted a poll across the league, gathering executives and scouts' thoughts on the game's most intriguing young players.
