5/28/25 | Twins snap two-game losing streak with 4-2 win over Tampa Bay. The Twins shook off back-to-back losses yesterday with a win over the Tampa Bay Rays, winning 4-2 and evening up the three game series. Minnesota got the scoring started early in the first inning when Brooks Lee drove in a run on a sac-fly, then in the second inning they would add another thanks to a Kody Clemens homerun that traveled 415 feet to center field. Tampa would try to chip away at the lead with a run in the fourth, but Minnesota would add some insurance in the sixth after an error allowed Ryan Jeffers to come home. After a Rays run in the seventh, Minnesota would add a little insurance on a Ty France single that would score Carlos Correa. The 2022 first-round pick (eighth overall) began the season on the IL while recovering from a lumbar strain. Lee, 24, was 4-for-13 in four rehab games at Class A Fort Myers and Triple-A St. Paul. Lee made his MLB debut in 2024 and batted .221 with three homers and 27 RBIs in 50 games. He made 23 starts at shortstop, 10 at third base, seven at second base and two as the designated hitter.
