2/20/24 Braves Starters Looking Forward to Returning from Injury. Braves Starters Looking Forward to Returning from Injury The Atlanta Braves could add two members to their rotation who missed 2023 due to injury Author: Lindsay Crosby Publish date: Feb 20, 2024 2:52 PM EST The Atlanta Braves had some rough luck with injuries last season. Their rotation was particularly hard hit, with 453.2 innings from 2022 - the quartet of Max Fried, Kyle Wright, Ian Anderson, and Huascar Ynoa - reduced down to just 108.2, most coming from Fried. But in 2024, things should be looking up, as Atlanta's prepared to welcome back both Huascar Ynoa and Ian Anderson from Tommy John surgery. Ynoa's in camp and healthy Ynoa, 25, is the first one due back, as he had his surgery

1/29/24 Max Fried is focused on 2024 despite contract talks. Max Fried is focused on 2024 despite contract talks Fried is focusing on the things he can control, and respecting the process otherwise Author: Kyle Richardson Publish date: Jan 30, 2024 9:00 AM EST We have talked at length about how Max Fried is in a contract year. This could be the last year that we get to see Fried as a member of the Atlanta Braves. Fried is playing on a one-year, $15M contract and will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of 2024. You have heard all kinds of opinions about it, from MLB analysts and Braves beat writers, but what about Max? What does he think about the whole situation? Well, he was asked about it during a Q&A session at BravesFest. “It's out of my

No, Max Fried isn't "injury prone" The Atlanta Braves lefthander gets some unwarranted flak because of his 2023 injuries, but he's historically provided both above-average production and performance Author: Lindsay Crosby Updated: Jan 21, 2024 12:15 PM EST Original: Jan 21, 2024 Fans of the Atlanta Braves have been pressing for the team to acquire a "frontline starter" this offseason, an acquisition that is easier said than done. Not many of those supposed aces have been available this winter, with Aaron Nola re-signing with the Philadelphia Phillies ( despite being reportedly offered more money by Atlanta ) and both Shohei Ohtani (who won't pitch in 2024) and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (who's

1/11/24 Max Fried, A.J. Minter land new Braves contracts to avoid arbitration. The Atlanta Braves will conclude their offseason without having to take any of their own players to arbitration after coming to terms on new deals with both Max Fried and A.J. Minter. Fried and the team agreed to a salary of $15 million for 2024, while Minter landed $6.22 million for the upcoming season, per USA Today's Bob Nightengale. Fried and Minter had been Atlanta's only arbitration-eligible players not yet signed. Common ground for Fried, Braves a positive sign?

1/09/24 Fried's future with Braves a potential cloud over upcoming season. The Atlanta Braves are set up for success long past the 2024 season thanks to shrewd moves by general manager Alex Anthopolous. Whether that success includes left-handed hurler Max Fried remains a huge question mark heading into the season. What was once speculation is inching more toward reality every day, especially with the new season on the horizon and Fried playing out the final year of his current contract. Anthopolous has made team-friendly deals in previous years; from Acuna Jr.'s $100 million, 10-year deal to Matt Olson's eight-year contract worth $168 million.
