4/28/25 Game 28 - Nola Returns to Form Against Cubs. One Sentence Summary:  Aaron Nola was finally Nola-esque and the Phillies prevailed in 10 innings to take the three-game series with the Cubs. What It Means:  Following an off-day on Monday, the Phillies return home for six games against the Nationals and Diamondbacks. What Happened:  He didn't get the win, but Nola provided a lot of relief to Phillies fans on Sunday night, allowing a run on three hits and a walk while striking out six over seven solid innings.

4/27/25 Phillies P Aaron Nola still looking for first win in clash vs. Cubs. The Philadelphia Phillies were starving for a victory before feasting on the Chicago Cubs' pitching on Saturday. Phillies right-hander Aaron Nola also is hungry for a win, and he'll look for his first of the season on Sunday night in the rubber match of a three-game series in Chicago. Perhaps facing the Cubs is a promising sign for the 31-year-old Nola, who has a 7-2 record -- albeit with a 4.52 ERA -- in 10 career appearances (all starts) against them.

4/22/25 Phillies' Rob Thomson has one-word response to concerning Aaron Nola trend. The Philadelphia Phillies have to start worrying at least a little bit about starting pitcher Aaron Nola. Which would be terrible news, because the Phillies still owe him $24.6 million every year from now until 2030. Nola's latest outing actually lowered his ERA, but he took the loss against the New York Mets after allowing four earned runs over 6 1/3 innings. After Monday's game, manager Rob Thomson was asked if Nola could still be effective pitching at 90 miles per hour, which is close to his average four-seam fastball velocity this season (91.1 mph, per Baseball Savant).
