Within a six-day span starting on June 28, the Saints lost utility man Will Holland to a fractured fibula, utility man Tony Kemp was released and starting shortstop Brooks Lee was called up to the Twins. All that on the heels of losing infielder Michael Helman to a left hamstring strain on June 17. The 32-year-old utility man has appeared in only 39 games for the Twins' Triple-A affiliate, but the plan was never to stick around. With 739 major-league games to his credit, Kemp joined the Saints with one goal in mind — getting back to the big leagues as quickly as possible.
