4/27/25 | Cardinals Need To Trade $7.5 Million Pitcher Before He Rapidly Declines. The St. Louis Cardinals need to trade their starting pitcher, Erick Fedde, as soon as possible. First off, the Cardinals should have traded Fedde in the offseason following his career season with the Chicago White Sox and the Cardinals. Fedde's contract expires at the end of the season. Trading him makes plenty of sense for the state of the Cardinals' rebuild. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/cardinals/st-louis-cardinal... |
4/25/25 | Cardinals Could Target Young Red Sox Star In Blockbuster Trade. The St. Louis Cardinals have a lot of potential trade pieces. Erick Fedde and Sonny Gray are two veteran starting pitchers who could be moved this season. Gray is more consistent and likely to be more valuable in a deal, so he could be traded, too. Closer Ryan Helsley is on an expiring contract, too, so he's another candidate to be traded. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/cardinals/st-louis-cardinal... |
4/24/25 | Cardinals trade deadline idea sends $15 million hurler to Yankees. The St. Louis Cardinals are off to a dreadful 10-15 start in 2025. The Cardinals have a few pieces they could sell off before July 31. One such piece is right-hander Erick Fedde. Brendan Smith of FanSided proposed the idea of the New York Yankees calling the Cardinals about Fedde's availability. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/st-louis-cardi... |
4/20/25 | Cardinals Need To Cut Ties With Struggling Relief Pitcher. The St. Louis Cardinals have seemingly waved the white flag for the 2025 season, but that's not entirely a bad thing. A rebuilding year is necessary for almost all teams in baseball, unless you're the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, or New York Yankees and can afford to dish out $1 billion in contracts in one offseason. For the Cardinals, the rebuilding year in 2025 is going to be used to build up the farm system, develop the young core, and build confidence throughout these young stars. This could result in the Cardinals trading away players like Erick Fedde and Ryan Helsey, both of which don't have a future in St. Louis beyond this season. 4/10/25 | Fedde understands hook with no-hitter in play. Cardinals pitcher Erick Fedde did not give up any hits vs. the Pirates, but he understands why manager Oliver Marmol pulled him after six innings. Source: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/44605732/cardi... |
