8/08/25 Former Red Sox Placed On Injured List For Third Time This Season. A member of last year's Boston Red Sox squad hasn't enjoyed the same success with an American League East competitor. Tyler O'Neill powered Boston's lineup with 31 home runs in 113 games last season. The outfielder parlayed that success into a three-year, $49.5 million contract with the Baltimore Orioles, where he's continued an unfortunate career trend by struggling to stay healthy. Baltimore placed O'Neill on the 10-day injured list Friday with right wrist inflammation.

8/05/25 Orioles outfielder Tyler O'Neill exits game vs. Phillies with injury. After an injury-riddled first half, Tyler O'Neill finally started to perform like the type of hitter the Orioles paid for this offseason. O'Neill was removed from the Orioles' game against the Phillies on Tuesday night with right wrist discomfort, the ballclub said. In the sixth inning, newcomer Ryan Noda stepped onto the on-deck circle for O'Neill and then replaced him in right field in the bottom half of the frame. It's unclear how O'Neill suffered the injury.

8/02/25 Why Orioles outfielder Tyler O'Neill was scratched from lineup vs. Cubs. The Baltimore Orioles made a last-minute lineup change on Saturday, removing veteran outfielder Tyler O'Neill before their matchup against the Chicago Cubs. The scratch was officially attributed to illness, not injury-related, but it sparked renewed questions about O'Neill's long-term availability and role in the Baltimore lineup. The news broke shortly before first pitch when MASN Sports' Roch Kubatko posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the club had pulled O'Neill due to illness.
