7/14/25 Phillies Trade Idea Lands Angels' Taylor Ward to Replace Brandon Marsh. Let's see what Dave Dombrowski has up his sleeves during the trade deadline. It's uncertain exactly what he plans to do, but the Philadelphia Phillies need an outfielder, and at some point, as noted many times before, Dombrowski has to find a way to add a competent player to his outfield. There could be a few available, and when recently examining them, Thomas Erbe proposed the idea of the Phillies pulling off a “realistic trade” with the Los Angeles Angels to acquire Taylor Ward, an outfielder who has proven a good bit during his career.

7/10/25 Brewers Linked To Angels Veteran In Trade Talks: 'Power Bat'. Will the Milwaukee Brewers bolster their outfield with additional offensive strength before July 31? With the Major League Baseball trade deadline approaching in three weeks, the Brewers could be considering adding some pop to their lineup. Los Angeles Angels' power hitter Taylor Ward has frequently been mentioned in connection with Milwaukee recently. In a new top-40 trade targets list released Tuesday by The Athletic's Tim Britton, Aaron Gleeman, and Chad Jennings, Ward was ranked as the No. 22 player.

7/08/25 Angels Slugger With Trade Buzz Could Bring Brewers To Championship Level. The Milwaukee Brewers might want to have a conversation with the Los Angeles Angels before July 31. The Angels have a prime-aged slugger who's been in recent trade buzz, and according to ESPN's Jeff Passan, an impact bat is precisely what the Brewers need to become title contenders. “I think the Brewers are one big bat away from being a legitimate World Series contender,” Passan said this week on the Wilde & Tausch podcast. Enter Angels 31-year-old outfielder Taylor Ward, who has 20 home runs and a .777 OPS this season (entering Tuesday), and who, according to multiple sources, might be moved before the deadline.

7/06/25 Angels Predicted to Trade Star Outfielder at Deadline in Blockbuster Move. With the Los Angeles Angels making various personnel moves over the last few days, is a potential trade in the works? With the Houston Astros going on a heater in recent weeks, it's somewhat unlikely that the Halos will contend for an AL West division title. Having said that, the Angels are squarely in the mix for one of the Wild Card spots. Should the Angels opt to cash in on some of their veterans with the hopes of acquiring younger assets, the biggest name on the block likely would be 31-year-old outfielder Taylor Ward.

7/03/25 MLB Mock Blockbuster Trade: Los Angeles Angels Deal Taylor Ward to Houston Astros. Veteran outfielder Taylor Ward was the subject of quite a few baseball trade rumors last summer for the Los Angeles Angels. Los Angeles is only 2.5 games behind the final AL wild card spot despite having a below .500 record. Ward also has another year of team control on his current contract.
