6/26/25 | Should Brewers Prepare Offer For $20 Million Rockies All-Star?. Milwaukee has a strong chance to make the postseason, and it could enhance that situation even further by adding another impact arm to the rotation. The team's front office, led by general manager Matt Arnold, is known for making calculated moves to address roster needs without sacrificing long-term assets. One name that has surfaced in recent trade discussions is a right-handed starter from the Colorado Rockies who has shown promising signs of a resurgence, per USA Today's Bob Nightengale. “Rockies starter German Marquez's trade value is starting to climb, yielding three or fewer runs in six of his last eight starts, with a 3.47 ERA in June," Nightengale wrote. 6/23/25 | Deadspin | Improved German Marquez seeks revenge as Rockies host Dodgers. German Marquez didn't begin his season well, but the veteran right-hander has been one of the bright spots for the lowly Colorado Rockies. Marquez had an ERA of 12.81 in April, and a big reason for that was the seven runs he gave up in less than an inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers in his fourth start of the year. Los Angeles will see an improved Marquez on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series in Denver. The Dodgers have not announced a starter for the game but Marquez (3-8, 6.11 ERA) is slated to face them for the second time this season. 6/18/25 | Rockies notch season-high fourth straight win behind German Marquez's solid start. Consider the Rockies on a full-blown heater. Colorado won a season-high fourth consecutive game on Wednesday at Nationals Park with a 3-1 victory over Washington. German Marquez turned back the clock, Michael Toglia stayed hot, and the defense and bullpen came up clutch against a struggling Nats team that's lost 11 straight. “I thought it was a really good game for us all the way around,” interim manager Warren Schaeffer told reporters.
