7/05/25 | Marlins Pitcher Who Has Only Walked Two Batters is Now Top Trade Asset. Most teams will be looking at Sandy Alcantara and Edward Cabrera when it comes to potentially dealing for Miami Marlins pitchers before the MLB trade deadline, but yet another arm has emerged as a very viable trade candidate: Janson Junk. Thanks to a rash of injuries that have hit the Marlins' starting rotation (what else is new?), Junk has been called upon as a swing pitcher, both starting games and pitching in long relief. While Sandy Alcantara has drawn most of the headlines, it's actually Edward Cabrera who has been the Miami Marlins' best pitcher this season, and as a result, his name has been featured in trade speculation for the past couple of weeks. The MLB trade deadline is just around the corner, and even though the Marlins just ripped off eight straight wins, they could be gearing up to make some moves. Jim Bowden of The Athletic has unveiled an update on Cabrera's situation, and evidently, Miami would prefer that he stays put. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/marlins/mlb-insider-surpris... |

7/01/25 | Apparently 'Untouchable' Marlins Player Will Make You Scratch Your Head. Sandy Alcantara is obviously the biggest name that could potentially be on the move, but players like Edward Cabrera, Jesus Sanchez and Anthony Bender stand a sizeable chance of being dealt, as well. While Eury Perez, Agustin Ramirez and perhaps Kyle Stowers are probably the first names that come to mind, Alex Krutchik of Fish on First has revealed a very strange name on his list of Miami talents that should unquestionably stay put: third baseman Connor Norby.
