5/27/24 Orioles hope to keep bats booming in rematch with Red Sox. When their offense is in a groove, the Baltimore Orioles like their chances against any opponent. The Orioles scored 11 runs, matching their second-highest total of the season, in beating the visiting Boston Red Sox on Monday. "We know we have a good offense and what we're capable of," Baltimore first baseman/designated hitter Ryan O'Hearn said. Catcher Adley Rutschman has driven in nine runs during the Orioles' five-game winning streak, their longest of the season.
5/25/24 Orioles blast 3 home runs in 8th inning to rally past White Sox, 5-3, for third straight win. It took eight innings, but the Orioles' offense woke up in a hurry Saturday with three home runs against the Chicago White Sox bullpen to spark a 5-3 comeback win. Ryan O'Hearn and Anthony Santander each hit two-run homers to erase a 3-0 deficit and Jordan Westburg added a solo shot, shaking off a quiet afternoon for the Orioles' bats. After plating 14 runs over the first two games of the series, the Orioles' top six hitters in their lineup combined to go 0-for-16 with four walks before O'Hearn got the home run parade started. Baltimore (31-18) had no answers for White Sox starter Erick Fedde early.
5/07/24 Orioles slugger Ryan O'Hearn, manager Brandon Hyde ejected in loss to Nationals: 'I just lost my cool'. Tuesday night's loss to the Washington Nationals was a frustrating one for the Orioles' offense, and it boiled over with two outs in the ninth inning. Ryan O'Hearn was called out on strikes by home plate umpire Alex Tosi and was ejected after arguing the call. Manager Brandon Hyde charged out of the dugout to back up his hitter and was also ejected. Ryan Mountcastle grounded out to end the game, as the Orioles lost, 3-0, and recorded only three hits while striking out 12 times.
4/26/24 Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: O'Hurry to O'Hearn. Matthew Pouliot recommends grabbing Ryan O'Hearn and a new closing candidate in Milwaukee.
4/22/24 Orioles reset: Ryan O'Hearn thriving, not regressing, in second year in Baltimore. Ryan O'Hearn stood outside Kauffman Stadium, his bags packed, waiting for a car. Last May, he was back in Kansas City — the town he spent five years in — for the first time since the Royals traded him to the Orioles. Before O'Hearn became an integral part of the Orioles, the demotion was one last speedbump — one of many in his career — to overcome. O'Hearn returned to the majors a few days later and has since established himself as not just a mainstay in Baltimore's lineup against right-handed starting pitchers, but as one of the hardest-hitting sluggers in baseball.
