The Astros will pay him the $3.5 million salary that was submitted by Dubon. Houston was looking to pay him $3 million but lost the case. The 24-year-old won a Gold Glove in 2023 after appearing in 132 games for Houston. He slashed .278/.309/.411 with 10 home runs. 11/06/23 Gold Glove winners announced: Tigers utility man falls short. The Detroit Tigers won't have a Gold Glove winner for the seventh consecutive season. Mauricio Dubon of the Houston Astros was named the American League's top utility man, beating out Zach McKinstry, who was the Tigers' lone finalist. The last Tiger to win a Gold Glove was second baseman Ian Kinsler in 2016.
