6/22/25 Mets Sign Ex-Red Sox Fan-Favorite After Brief Yankees Stint. A former Boston Red Sox fan-favorite is on the move. MLB.com's Anthony DiComo reported that the New York Mets are signing former Red Sox utility man Pablo Reyes after a brief stint this season with the New York Yankees. "The Mets signed infielder Pablo Reyes, who was briefly in the organization last year, to a minor league contract and sent him to Syracuse," DiComo said.

6/21/25 Mets scoop up ex-Yankees utility man in free agency. The Mets are taking a chance on Pablo Reyes, the veteran utility man who was designated for assignment by the Yankees earlier this week. Reyes signed a minor-league deal with the Mets on Saturday. Anthony DiComo of MLB.com was first to report the news. Reyes was the corresponding subtraction to make room for Giancarlo Stanton's return from the injured list.

6/13/25 Yankees scratch across late run to complete season sweep of Royals. Pablo Reyes stumbled, stopped and still scrambled home safely on a wild play in the eighth inning Thursday night, taking advantage of a throwing error by reliever Lucas Erceg to give the New York Yankees a 1-0 victory over the Kansas City Royals. New York completed a three-game sweep to finish 6-0 against the Royals this season after eliminating them 3-1 in their best-of-five playoff series last October. Backed by some brilliant defense, Will Warren and four relievers combined on a five-hitter as the AL East-leading Yankees (42-25) moved a season-high 17 games over .500.

6/01/25 Time to face reality: Dodgers still have Yankees' number. I wonder how many Yankees fans remained in front of their flat screens long enough in the 18-2 massacre by the Dodgers to watch Pablo Reyes lobbing 42-mph Eephus pitches during the eighth-inning garbage time. Not many, I would guess (smart move) even if that meant an even larger swath of viewers missed a telling moment during Fox' post-game spot. Host Kevin Burkhardt, Alex Rodriguez , David Ortiz and Derek Jeter were struggling to make sense of the carnage. They wondered how the Yankees could've been overwhelmed by a combined score of 26-7 in just two games. It was Jeter, of all people, who hit bedrock with his assessment. Remember, the Captain was a platitude factory back in the day, so it took

4/29/25 Red Sox's Jarren Duran has Yankees in corner … Aaron Judge, ex-teammate, et all. Yankees bench player Pablo Reyes was a Red Sox in 2023 and 2024. “It's a delicate topic, but at the time we wanted just to be there for Jarren and support him because we knew the kind of person that he was,” Reyes told NJ Advance Media before Monday night's 4-3 Yankees loss to the Orioles.

Try it free The Yankees' glaring issue from 2024 showed up again, and it's only the second game of the season. They committed five errors during a 20-9 win over the Brewers on Saturday in The Bronx, providing a sour asterisk to what will go down as a historic offensive game. Pablo Reyes, a non-roster invitee who got one of the final bench spots and earned the platoon start over Oswald Peraza against left-hander Nestor Cortes, committed two errors, while Anthony Volpe, Max Fried and Jazz Chisholm Jr. each accounted

3/29/25 Pablo Reyes tabbed for Yankees debut as right-handed hitting questions linger. Shortly before spring training ended, Brian Cashman said that he would be “happier” if Aaron Boone had some additional right-handed hitting options at his disposal. No such additions were made to the Yankees’ roster before Opening Day, though. Instead, the last two spots on the Bombers’ bench went to incumbent righties, utilitymen Pablo Reyes and Oswald Peraza. Peraza, a former top prospect, ...

3/18/25 Why Yankees' 'Swiss Army knife' has real shot to make roster. Pablo Reyes, a right-handed hitter who plays everywhere defensively, has made a strong case to make the Yankees' Opening Day roster. AP By Max Goodman | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com DUNEDIN, Fla. — Non-roster invitee Pablo Reyes didn't report to spring training with great odds to make the Yankees ' Opening Day roster, but with just over one week remaining in camp, it's hard to ignore how much of a good fit he'd be on this team. In fact, there's a case to be made here that Reyes is be the better option internally to form a platoon with Oswaldo Cabrera at third base, not Oswald Peraza. 11/23/24 YANKEES SIGN THEIR UTILITY MAN. Pablo Reyes, who recently played for the enemy (both the Red Sox and Mets, no less), is now switching sides to join the Yankees. The 31-year-old utilityman signed a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training, giving him a shot at playing in pinstripes in 2025. Reyes debuted with the Pirates in 2018 and has since played 233 MLB games, hitting .248 with eight homers and 54 RBI. After a PED suspension in 2020, he bounced back, spending 2023 and 2024 splitting time between Boston, the Mets' Triple-A squad, and the occasional highlight reel. While his numbers won't make anyone forget Babe Ruth (.658 OPS in the Bigs, .864 in Triple-A last year), Reyes brings defensive versatility and a chance
