3/13/25 | Reports: Raiders signing veteran RB Raheem Mostert. The Las Vegas Raiders are signing veteran running back Raheem Mostert to a one-year, $1.2 million contract, according to multiple reports on Thursday. The free agent is reunited with the Raiders' new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, who was the head coach in San Francisco in 2016 when Mostert played for the 49ers. Kelly also was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles when Mostert was briefly on the practice squad in 2015. The Miami Dolphins released Mostert, who turns 33 in April, in February and saved $2.9 million in salary cap space. Mostert joined Miami in 2022 and enjoyed his finest season in 2023, rushing for 1,012 yards and leading the NFL with 21 touchdowns from scrimmage. As San Francisco continues to part with key players on both sides of the ball, it could turn to one former player for veteran depth. Former 49ers running back Raheem Mostert joined NFL Network's "Free Agency Frenzy" on Tuesday and revealed that San Francisco has reached out this offseason about a possible reunion.
