8/24/25 | Los Angeles Chargers final 53-man roster projection with preseason in the books. The Los Angeles Chargers have concluded their preseason and most of the 53-man roster is likely already penciled in. The Chargers will have until 1:00 PM Pacific time on Tuesday to get down to the league-mandated 53 players. After that, the fun begins. The Chargers may look at players waived by other teams and may consider making trades, as they did last season when they added Elijah Molden and Taylor Heinicke just before the season started. There will be some tough decisions to be made by Joe Hortiz, Jim Harbaugh and the rest of the coaching staff, but the team will hope to move several of the players they cut over to the practice squad. 8/10/25 | Halftime update: Los Angeles Chargers 9, New Orleans Saints 3. The Saints got a great chance to score after the Chargers fumbled a punt with Saints tight end Treyton Welch recovering at the 17-yard line. But running back Kendre Milller's fourth-and-goal run from the 1-yard line was stopped short at the 4-yard line. Miller had six carries for 15 yards and a nice kickoff return. It looked like defensive tackle Khristian Boyd got the Saints on the scoreboard when he sacked Los Angeles quarterback Taylor Heinicke in the end zone for safety with 1:47 to play in the first quarter but the play was overturned on review resulting in just a sack for a 7-yard loss.
