9/08/25 Jose Ramirez not expected to be traded by Guardians, per Cleveland reporter. The Cleveland Guardians have been linked to outbound moves involving multiple star players during the 2025 season. Shane Bieber is the lone ex-Guardian to leave thus far after being dealt to the Toronto Blue Jays ahead of MLB's July 31 trade deadline. Rumors also swirled about the team potentially trading away Steven Kwan and Emmanuel Clase, both of whom have multiple years of club control, but no sufficient offers materialized. If the Guardians have reportedly expressed interest in moving Kwan, a two-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove Award winner, what does that mean for José Ramírez — a seven-time All-Star and five-time Silver Slugger Award winner in his own right?

9/01/25 Toronto Blue Jays moving Eric Lauer back to bullpen in starting rotation shuffle. The Toronto Blue Jays are making a change to their starting rotation as they enter the final month of the regular season. After experimenting with a six-man rotation due to the addition of Shane Bieber on the active roster, Blue Jay manager John Schneider confirmed on Monday that the team would move back to a more traditional five-man rotation. Schneider added that Eric Lauer would be moving back into the bullpen as a result. “We're transitioning back to a five-man, so Eric Lauer is going to be in the bullpen for now,” Schneider said.
