The Kansas City Royals announced Monday the team reinstated right-hander Kyle Wright from the injured list but optioned him to Triple-A Omaha. Essentially what that means is Wright will continue in the minor leagues after his rehab assignment at Triple-A is finished. Wright has not pitched at the MLB level for the Royals this season. The Kansas City Royals took a chance when they signed right-hander Kyle Wright, with the former 20-game winner coming off of a shoulder injury and surgery. On Monday, the Royals reinstated Wright from the injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Omaha. It might mark the final stop before the long road back to the major leagues. The Kansas City Royals have scheduled a rehab assignment with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals for pitcher Kyle Wright starting on Friday, the American League announced.
