6/26/25 Former Auburn Tigers WR Named NFL's Most Underrated. Before he ran routes for the New York Giants, former Auburn Tigers wideout Darius Slayton left defenses in his wake as a big-play threat on The Plains. For the past six seasons, he's provided a bevy of quarterbacks with a similar deep threat as a member of the Giants. In three seasons with the Tigers, Slayton racked up 1,605 yards and 11 touchdowns.

6/22/25 New York Giants' receivers ranked in bottom third of NFL. The New York Giants did little to change their wide receiver room this offseason, largely returning the same unit from a year ago. General manager Joe Schoen re-signed Darius Slayton and Ihmir Smith-Marsette, while adding Lil'Jordan Humphrey and several undrafted free agents. That was the extent of the work done. Also returning will be Wan'Dale Robinson, Bryce Ford-Wheaton, and Jalin Hyatt, who appears bulked up and recommitted to the game of football. 6/20/25 NY Giants WR Darius Slayton Offers Take on Possible 18-game Season. The NFL has been pushing for several years now to have an 18-game regular season, but the league's efforts have been met with resistance from the NFL Players Association. Slayton, speaking with Ryan Canfield of Fox News, has three main things he'd like to see the league grant the players in return for the added extra game: guaranteed Proven Performance Escalators (PPE), a slightly larger revenue share for the players, and greater investments in training staffs. Slayton signed a three-year, $36 million contract this past offseason, but before he secured his big payday, the team's 2019 fifth-round pick was force-fed a bitter pill by the front office. Slayton once earned a PPE, which is a payment mechanism designed to increase the salary of any player selected in Rounds 3-7 of the NFL Draft if they play a certain number of games.

6/14/25 Former Auburn receiver working with new passing partners in the NFL. As a wide receiver for the New York Giants, Darius Slayton had a “passing” interest in the NFL team's overhaul of its quarterback depth chart after posting three victories in the 2024 season. The Giants signed veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston and drafted Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart.

6/13/25 Giants WR Darius Slayton Shares Why He's Optimistic About Upcoming Season. At the end of the 2024 season, New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton, normally the picture of composure, was beaten down, tired, and uncertain of his future as free agency loomed. For weeks thereafter, it was thought that Slayton, who admitted to being tired from the mental strain of all the losing, might move on in free agency, seeking a fresh start elsewhere with a better team.
