7/25/25 Texas Rangers activating OF Sam Haggerty from injured list ahead of Braves series. Another key piece is returning to the Texas Rangers' lineup as they look to continue their second-half surge. Outfielder Sam Haggerty has been activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's game against Atlanta, the Rangers announced. In a corresponding move, the Rangers are optioning Cody Freeman to Triple-A Round Rock. Haggerty originally landed on the injured list earlier this month with left ankle inflammation.

7/18/25 Rangers to Move Outfielder Sam Haggerty to IL, Call up Cody Freeman. The Texas Rangers are set to make another transaction as outfielder Sam Haggerty will be moved to the 10-day injured list. In his place the Rangers will select the contract of infielder/outfielder Cody Freeman, who will give them a right-handed bat to come off the bench. Manager Bruce Bochy announced the move during his pre-game conversation with the media on Friday. Texas has not formally announced the move.

6/24/25 Rangers outlast Orioles in 10 after Jacob Latz's career day. The Texas Rangers received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Jacob Latz and benefitted from a 10th-inning reversal of a call at the plate to beat the host Baltimore Orioles 6-5 on Tuesday night. The Rangers scored in the top of the 10th on Sam Haggerty's one-out fielder's choice, with Evan Carter scoring on a play that was overturned on replay review. Latz took a no-hitter into the seventh inning. Luke Jackson (2-4) was the winning pitcher and Robert Garcia survived despite a runner at third base with one out in the 10th to notch his sixth save.
