6/25/25 | The 49ers' Offensive Line Still is a Major Issue. After losing nine starting players this offseason, the 49ers still have a lot to like about their roster, but their offensive line remains a major issue. Now, it's even thinner, which is why it's one of the most untalked about problems in the NFL, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer. "They're losing Jaylon Moore to the Chiefs and guard Aaron Banks (who got a big payday in Green Bay)," writes Breer. The 49ers are one injury to Trent Williams away from fielding an offensive line that consists of Spencer Burford, Ben Bartch, Jake Brendel, Dominick Puni and Colton McKivitz. Here's how Breer lays out his case in a recent mailbag: I'd be surprised if Josh Simmons, a wildly talented young tackle, is ready for Week 1. The Chiefs paid Jaylon Moore $15 million per year to come over from San Francisco to, at the very least, stopgap the left tackle spot, and I'd expect he'll be out there in Week 1. 6/02/25 | Should Chiefs Add Veteran G to Solidify O-Line?. The Kansas City Chiefs' obvious main priority was adding more depth and consistency to their offensive line. Addressing the need through both free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft, the Chiefs, at least on paper, look to be improved up front. The additions of Jaylon Moore, Josh Simmons, and Tremayne Anchrum are ones that stand out in an attempt to improve the offensive line. Source: https://www.si.com/nfl/chiefs/kansas-city-free-age... |
