| 6/10/25 | Tigers outfielder goes unclaimed on waivers, outrighted to Toledo. DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers outfielder Akil Baddoo has cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Toledo. Baddoo, 26, was designated for assignment four days ago when the Tigers added outfielder Jahmai Jones to the roster. Baddoo, having been previously outrighted, could have rejected the assignment to Toledo. But that would have meant forgoing the remainder of his salary, which is far higher than that of a typical minor-leaguer. That price tag may have also discouraged teams from claiming him. Baddoo was recalled last month to take the spot of struggling rookie infielder Jace Jung. He went 2-for-17 during his 10-day stint with the big-league club.
