9/01/25 Royals place 2B Jonathan India (wrist) on IL. September 1 - The Kansas City Royals placed second baseman Jonathan India on the 10-day injured list Monday with a sprained left wrist. India, 28, has not played since Friday when he went 0-for-4 against the Detroit Tigers. He is batting .232 with eight home runs and 41 RBIs in 124 games his first season with the Royals. A career .249 hitter, India has 71 home runs and 270 RBIs over 647 games with the Cincinnati Reds (2021-24) and Royals. The Royals also activated outfielder/first baseman Jac Cagliaone off the injured list as rosters expanded to 28 on Monday, while recalling right-hander Luinder Avila and catcher Carter Jansen, who is the team's No. 2 overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.

The Royals should trade Jonathan India this offseason after a disappointing campaign. The Royals traded for India from the Cincinnati Reds in November, giving up starting pitcher Brady Singer. 8/18/25 Royals' Jonathan India Delivers Playoff Message After Clutch Home Run. It was a monumental swing of the bat for Jonathan India and the entire Kansas City Royals team. On Sunday, with the Royals trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning, India launched a 450-foot blast into the fountains at Kauffman Stadium to tie the game against the Chicago White Sox. Kansas City needed a sweep over the White Sox to stay in the playoff hunt, and that's what it got. After a Maikel Garcia RBI single provided the winning margin in the bottom of the eighth, the Royals got their sweep, and most importantly, they're finally more than a game over .500.

8/17/25 India and Frazier hit two-run homers to rally Royals to 6-2 win over the White Sox. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- - Jonathan India and Adam Frazier hit two-run homers, rallying the Kansas City Royals to a 6-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday for a series sweep. The White Sox led 2-0 before India tied it in the seventh with his 451-foot shot, tying his longest. Run-scoring singles by Maikel Garcia and Salvador Perez gave the Royals a 4-2 lead in the eighth before Frazier's fifth homer of the season made it 6-2. White Sox starter Davis Martin allowed one hit in seven innings before Steven Wilson , Grant Taylor (0-3) and Jordan Leasure yielded six runs and seven hits in two innings. With an injury scare happening to Kansas City Royals second baseman Jonathan India, it has been one instance of many proving to be a down year for the player after being traded from the Cincinnati Reds in the offseason. India would echo the same sentiments, saying that it has been a “tough year” for him, even saying that while both can be in question, it's more physically than mentally, according to MLB.com. “Physically, it's been a tough year,” India said.
