Four wide receivers from Alabama high schools and colleges reached 1,000 receiving yards during the NFL's 2024 regular season β Nico Collins of the Houston Texans, Jerry Jeudy of the Cleveland Browns, Calvin Ridley of the Tennessee Titans and Jameson Williams of the Detroit Lions. Ridley's three 1,000-yard seasons have come for three different teams. Collins reached the milestone for the second straight season. For Jeudy and Williams, the 1,000-yard seasons were the first of their careers. A pair of Alabama alumni, Jeudy and Williams brought to nine the number of former Crimson Tide players who have recorded 1,000-yard receiving seasons in the NFL. 1/18/25 | Chiefs' Cook evaluated for concussion, Texans' Al-Shaair out with knee injury in playoff game. Chiefs safety Bryan Cook was evaluated for a concussion and Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair hurt his knee and was questionable to return to their divisional playoff game Saturday. Cook was examined in the medical tent after his helmet clashed with that of Houston wide receiver Nico Collins while making a tackle late in the first quarter.
