8/22/25 Flame-Throwing Seattle Mariners Reliever Near Return After Lengthy Layoff. There hasn't been a unit on the Seattle Mariners roster that's been more chaotic than the bullpen this season. Due to the several injuries and inconsistencies from the starting rotation, the Mariners' bullpen has been relied on heavily. Several relievers, such as Matt Brash and Jackson Kowar, made their returns after lengthy injured list stints. Right-handed reliever Gregory Santos has been out since April 16 due to a right knee injury.

8/11/25 With big crowds, Seattle Mariners doing 'special things'. Fresh off of putting the final touches on an incredible comeback win Friday night, Seattle Mariners reliever Matt Brash was extremely amped up. Brash struck out the side on 19 pitches to get the save in a 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, which turned out to be the first win in a three-game weekend sweep for the Mariners. After Brash talked to Mariners insider Shannon Drayer on the field moments after the game for the customary “walk-off” radio interview, Drayer couldn't help but point out the state the 27-year-old right-hander appeared to be in. If you ever wondered what it's like to close out an important game during a playoff chase in front of a huge home crowd, Brash provided a pretty insightful view.

7/23/25 ESPN MLB Insider Gives Bold Take on Seattle Mariners as Trade Deadline Nears. With the MLB Trade Deadline coming up on July 31, ESPN MLB Insider Jeff Passan described the Seattle Mariners as "all-in." Seattle enters play on Wednesday at 54-47 through 101 games. Seattle hasn't made the playoffs since the 2022 season. If the Mariners' starters are healthy and they can focus on adding a reliever to the trio of nasty that is Andrés Muñoz, Matt Brash and Gabe Speier.

7/17/25 Seattle Mariners could target trade for bat, arm together. The Seattle Mariners have a few different avenues they can go down to improve their club before the July 31 MLB trade deadline. The most obvious need is an impact bat, and the Mariners have flexibility in terms of the position that hitter could play. Another likely area where Seattle could aim to upgrade is the bullpen, as the Mariners could strengthen the bridge between their starting rotation and a back-end of the bullpen led by All-Star closer Andrés Muñoz and setup men Matt Brash and Gabe Speier.

7/09/25 Matt Brash's Slider Draws Extremely High Praise From Seattle Mariners Manager. Seattle Mariners reliever Matt Brash has been one of the best bullpen arms in the game since returning from injury at the beginning of May. Brash missed all of 2024 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, which was a big blow to the M's bullpen as they missed the playoffs by one game. What's even more impressive is that Brash has immediately picked up where he left off. Entering Wednesday, Brash has posted a 0.47 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched across 21 appearances.
