The Detroit Tigers optioned right-handed reliever Ricky Vanasco to Triple-A Toledo to open a roster spot for right-handed starter Reese Olson, who was reinstated from the injured list on Monday. Olson will start Monday night's series opener in Kansas City. Vanasco pitched two scoreless innings in two appearances in his 15-day stint with the big-league club.
