8/21/25 Phillies' Bryson Stott gets honest on Trea Turner's recent hot stretch. Currently six and a half games up in the NL East, the Philadelphia Phillies are firing on almost all cylinders. Coming off four wins in a row, including a sweep of the Seattle Mariners, the Phillies will once again square off against the Washington Nationals. Ahead of their final head-to-head this weekend, team beat writer Matt Gelb spoke to second baseman Bryson Stott about the form that his teammate, Trea Turner, has been on as of late. “It feels like he's gotten three hits a game for the last three weeks,” Stott said to Gelb Thursday.

8/20/25 Phillies Notebook: Little adjustment goes long way for surging Bryson Stott. Bottom for Bryson Stott hit in late July, his batting average at .228 after four straight hitless games. With a few adjustments to his playing time and tweaks to his swing, Stott has come to life in August, and with him, the Phillies offense. Stott went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, including the single that broke the dam in the seventh inning of Wednesday's 11-2 win to finish a series sweep over Seattle. The 20-hit outburst capped the Phillies' most explosive three-game run since July 8-14, 2007, with 48 hits and 29 runs.
