8/05/25 Rockies Applauded for Adjusting Game Plan and Handling of MLB Trade Deadline. It took being on pace to make some ugly history for the Colorado Rockies to finally operate like a team that needs to rebuild ahead of the MLB trade deadline. There were opportunities to cash in on some of their more desirable assets and they made the most of it, which is why Grant Brisbee of The Athletic (subscription required) used one word to describe how their deadline this year: “finally.” More News: Has Breakout Rookie Supplanted Made Struggling Michael Toglia Expendable? It's not a hard concept for a team that doesn't have any momentum or direction or “good baseball players,” but it was really hard for the Rockies over the last few years.

6/25/25 Former Bruin Michael Toglia Erupts in Loss to Dodgers. Since being recalled to the majors after spending nearly a month in Triple-A Albuquerque, Colorado Rockies first baseman and former UCLA Bruins standout Michael Toglia has been getting right back on track following a three-hit, two-RBI appearance against the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The Rockies lost 9-7, but Toglia stood out on the plate, hitting an RBI double to open up the scoring in the first inning and coming back in the third for another RBI double. Colorado jumped out to an early lead but the Dodgers stormed back to steal a win in the first game of the series. Since returning to Colorado, Toglia is batting .303 with 10 hits, three home runs, eight RBIs and eight runs scored in eight games.

6/24/25 Dodgers score 6 runs in 4th, hold on to beat Rockies. The Dodgers scored six runs in the fourth inning, aided and abetted by the Colorado Rockies' shortcomings, but had to hold on until the end of a 9-7 victory on Tuesday night at Coors Field. The signature moment in this installment of a historically bad season for the Rockies came during that fourth inning. Rockies first baseman Michael Toglia made two errors in the inning and a third defensive blunder – a poor throw home that went as a fielder's choice rather than an error. Toglia's second error, though, managed to bring Rockies starter German Marquez to the ground.
