7/01/25 | Cincinnati Reds Infielder Hits Grand Slam on Rehab Assignment. Cincinnati Reds infielder Noelvi Marte hit a grand slam in his first rehab game with the Louisville Bats in Triple-A. Marte is 3-2 with two walks and a grand slam in Tuesday's game. Coming into Tuesday's game. Marte was hitting .320 with two extra-base hits over seven games with Double-A Chattanooga and the ACL Reds. Before the game, Reds manager Terry Francona mentioned Marte was scheduled to play with Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday and Wednesday and then they would re-evaluate him to see where he is at. It is possible Marte could join the Reds when they travel to Philadelphia for a series with the Phillies on Friday. Getting Marte back would be a big boost for the lineup. Annie Sabo provided two key injury updates on infielder Noelvi Marte and outfielder Austin Hays during the Reds' game against the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday afternoon. "Per Terry Francona, Marte could begin a rehab assignment on June 20," Sabo said on Wednesday's broadcast. "That is tentative right now because he has to get another oblique scan." Marte is slashing .294/.342/.515 in 19 games with the Reds this season. He was placed on the injured list with a left oblique strain on May 7. 5/28/25 | Reds Manager Shares Key Injury Update on Infielder. Cincinnati Reds manager Terry Francona talked to reporters on Wednesday afternoon in Kansas City and gave an injury update on infielder Noelvi Marte. The 23-year-old has been on the injured list with a grade two oblique strain. His recovery was ahead of schedule so they moved up his MRI one week. He received more good news on this week and is able to start doing "rotational activities", in addition to the running program he already was on, according to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com. Marte started the season in Triple-A Louisville but hit well enough to earn a starting role with Cincinnati once Jeimer Candelario went on the injured list.
