6/01/25 Luis Matos' 3-run homer powers Giants to 4-2 win over Marlins. Luis Matos hit a three-run home run and the San Francisco Giants beat the Miami Marlins 4-2 on Sunday. After Wilmer Flores knocked in a run with a groundout in the second inning, Matos connected on a 2-0 changeup from Ryan Weathers (1-1) in the third that traveled 390 feet to left-center and gave the Giants a 4-0 lead. San Francisco did not score after that, marking the 14th straight games the Giants have failed to score more than four runs.

5/04/25 SF Giants trying to get Matos on track in crowded outfield. It's been tough for Luis Matos to get on a roll when anchored to the bench. Welcome to the 2025 Giants, where the revolving door of transactions has been slammed shut under the direction of president of baseball operations Buster Posey as executed by manager Bob Melvin. Matos is just 2-for-28 dating back to April 8, but reached base three times in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Colorado Rockies. Matos hit a solo home run against Bradley Blalock which stood as the only Giants run until a five-run sixth that included a grand slam.
