(MILWAUKEE BREWERS) – MILWAUKEE – For the second time in franchise history, the Milwaukee Brewers have a pair of Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners in the same season as Sal Frelick (right field) and Brice Turang (second base) each earned the honor for the first time in their careers. Prior to this season, the only time the team had multiple Gold Glove winners in the same season was 1979 with Cecil Cooper (first base) and Sixto Lezcano (outfield). | 10/04/24 | Season over: Milwaukee Brewers fall in stunning fashion to NY Mets. MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers' 2024 season came to an end Thursday night in stunning fashion. The Brewers on solo home runs by Sal Frelick and Jake Bauers in the seventh inning had a 2-0 lead on the New York Mets with Devin Williams coming in to close out the game and send the Brewers to the NLDS against the Philadelphia Phillies. Williams struggled to find the strike zone, allowing a walk to Franciso Lindor, a single to Brandon Nimmo and then a 3-run home run to Pete Alonso. Williams then hit Jesse Winker with a pitch. Winker then stole second and came home to score on Jose Iglesias's single.
