The Washington Nationals placed catcher Drew Millas on the 10-day injured list retroactive to Thursday with a left index finger injury on Friday and selected catcher C.J. Stubbs from Triple-A Rochester. Millas suffered a fracture and dislocation of his finger when he was called for catcher's interference after Austin Wells' swing hit Millas' glove during Wednesday's 11-2 loss to the New York Yankees. Washington Nationals catcher Drew Millas fractured a finger Wednesday against the New York Yankees on a catcher’s interference play. Millas was called for interference in the third inning as his glove made contact with Austin Wells’ bat. Right-hander Trevor Williams was transferred from the 15- to the 60-day injured list, right-hander Eduardo Salazar was optioned to Rochester, and the team signed right-hander Luis Garcia to a one-year major league contract. Ruiz, who turns 27 on July 20, was struck in the head by a foul ball while sitting in the dugout during a 10-6 road win over the San Diego Padres on June 23.
