5/22/25 Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar treating pregame prep like games. Arizona Diamondbacks top prospect Jordan Lawlar is practicing patience with irregular playing time since his call-up, as he and the team have put a lot of effort in his pregame routine to stay sharp. No, nothing replaces major league reps, not in the minors or in the cages. Manager Torey Lovullo told him that when he is not in the 6:40 p.m. lineup, his game takes place from 3-6:30 p.m. “I will swing more on the days I'm not starting just to supplement that, and then days I'm playing, it kind of matches up to the same routine that I had in Triple-A,” Lawlar told Arizona Sports on Wednesday.
