8/26/24 | Hunter Feduccia making first start for Dodgers felt like MLB debut. Hunter Feduccia joined the Los Angeles Dodgers on Aug. 19 when Austin Barnes landed on the 10-day injured list. After filling the backup catcher role for five days, he finally got to start on Sunday, Aug. 26 against the Tampa Bay Rays. Although Feduccia already made his MLB debut on July 31, pinch-hitting in the final at-bat of the game agains the San Diego Padres at Petco Park, he had yet to make a start at the MLB level. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave Feduccia the start to give Will Smith a day of rest, and he liked that Feduccia has had a ton of experience catching Gavin Stone while both were in the Minor Leagues. 7/27/24 | Hunter Feduccia Receives MLB Call-Up from Los Angeles Dodgers. BATON ROUGE, La. – Former LSU catcher Hunter Feduccia has been promoted to the Los Angeles Dodgers active roster, and he is scheduled to join the team this weekend in Houston for its series versus the Astros. Feduccia, a Lake Charles, La., native, who played at LSU in 2018, is the 85th Major Leaguer in the illustrious history of LSU Baseball. He joins Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes as the second former LSU player this season to reach the Major Leagues for the first time in his career. LSU has had at least one former player make his MLB debut in of 30 of the past 34 seasons. 7/27/24 | Dodgers promote catcher before Astros clash. The Los Angeles Dodgers made a surprising roster decision ahead of Saturday's game against the Houston Astros. Catching prospect Hunter Feduccia is being called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City, according to Fabian Ardaya of the Athletic. The 27-year-old Feduccia, who has yet to make his major league debut, was slashing .295/.420/.451 with five home runs and 42 RBI this season with Oklahoma City.
