The Red Sox invited seven players, including recent trade acquisition Carlos Narvaez, to participate in their 2025 Rookie Development Program this coming week. Boston acquired Narvaez, a 26-year-old catcher, from the Yankees in exchange for pitching prospect Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz on Dec. 11. The deal also included the Red Sox sending $250,000 of international bonus pool space money to New York. The Yankees, who were deep in catching, cleared that jam by sending Carlos Narvaez to the Red Sox in exchange for righty Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz and international bonus pool space for this year (and not for 2025, which would have helped in the club's chase for Roki Sasaki ).
